  1. I've rotated these ones for you Geoff. In future, you can try editing the pics on your phone. Select something along the lines of Edit, then Rotate, then Save. This should override the orientation settings that your phone applies to the photos when you take them, meaning that they appear in the correct orientation.
  2. There's one thing that makes me think it's real, and that's the fact that the prop metal shows a smearing effect from the abrasion of the tarmac. A disc cutter couldn't produce this.
  3. Looking very slick Geoff! Looking forward to seeing her on the water 👍
  4. Nice write up Tony. Sounds like a lovely day afloat even if the sharks weren't playing. 👍
  5. That's a toe-curler! 😖
  6. Just discovered this on YT. Real trip down memory lane, but for grown-ups. Pete Tong and his Heritage Orchestra play Ibiza Classics at the Royal Albert Hall. Here's a proper Ibiza classic for those that remember it... And this bit is particularly worth a listen - Becky Hill covering Robyn's With Every Heartbeat.

@Saintly Fish and I invited you sharking and this was how you responded!

Looking forward to a full report Dicky 👍
  9. Yeah, but that requires me to buy the crimping tool and I already have plenty of tools that I bought for a single, one off job (anyone want a valve spring compressor, or a pair of coil spring compressors, or a ball joint fitting & removal tool?). The smaller the diameter the better the job I can do with the tools I already have available. Or, I might even break out the soldering iron instead.
  10. Well you already know how to copy & paste other people's photos...
  11. I know, but the bigger the cable, the harder it is to make a good job of fitting cable end crimps which is why I'd rather go for the "right" size instead of over-sized.
  12. The bit that keeps the sea from getting in past your prop shaft. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuffing_box http://coxeng.co.uk/stern-gear/stern-glands/
  13. Remember also that any breeze that blows from bow to stern may blow under the edge of your cover and push any water trapped by the lip up and over it. The more I think about it the more I reckon this is at least part of your problem here.
  14. He does have a point though...
  15. Just stick an LED bulb in it Jon.
  16. Interested in this but need to measure the cross-sectional area of the stuff that's already on the boat before I pull the trigger. If someone else makes you an offer first then no worries, but will let you know once I know what size I need. Suspect it may be too big but will confirm.
  17. So presume you have shed-loads of battery cable left over then? I may have a use for some of it if so. What diameter/cross-sectional area was it again?
  18. So you finally got those extra batteries installed then?
  19. Yep. The taste test is probably the best (quickest) way of working out what's going on. But.... here's a chance to learn from my mistake... if you see moisture under or around the batteries don't try the taste test. Turns out it wasn't water in my case, and I can confirm that battery acid stings a bit on the tongue!! 😖🤣 My guess is that it will be rainwater in your case though. Looking at your pic above, does rainwater not run sternwards off the wheelhouse roof and under the cover into the cockpit? Is there a lip or channel to stop the water just running under?

    Kenzaki......

Ouch! That must have stung a bit Jon! But you're in good company though - @Saintly Fish fumbled one of his spinning rods over the side earlier in the season 🤣
