Welcome Dave. Torquay is a lovely spot. I heard they've been seeing tuna off Berry Head for a few seasons now. Bet they go well! I just responded to your other post about file sizes. The quick answer is that there's a really good reason for keeping the size limit smaller - we can avoid the need for advertising! If you reduce the file size on your phone or camera settings you'll be able to post no problem. Alternatively some members use file sharing sites like Imgur or Flickr. 👍

The file size limit is deliberately set smaller than other sites because we fund the running costs of offshoreoutlaws.co.uk from our own pockets and the larger the files the more it costs us. We aim never to use advertising so anything our members can to do to reduce the sizes of the files they post really helps to avoid the need for adverts. Most members either use a file sharing site or reduce the size of the pics on their phones before posting. @Saintly Fish finds that a quick edit/crop/save works for him. Who would you register it with Jon? Do you mean HMRC? This is only necessary if you're importing a boat from abroad, and it's only for VAT liability, not for registering its existence per se.

No requirement to register any recreational boat that I'm aware of. SSR registration is optional. Might want to register with your local harbour authority for harbour dues if you plan to keep her on a mooring but if trailer launching, you can pay as you go on the day.
