  1. In the Solent maybe, but not in the East Wight area, for precisely the reason you describe. With the tide flows being counter-intuitive it can kick up quickly out there, which is why I don't tend to fish in much above 8-9mph.
  2. Where's that then? All I can see is winds between 11 and 13mph all day? And before anyone says it.. yes, I am a fair weather fisherman! 😱
  3. Bet you're like a kid before Christmas! Looking forward to seeing some photos and reading some catch reports πŸ‘
  4. Anyone out this weekend? Weather looks too windy on the south coast (again!) so I'll be fishing vicariously through you lot if you can get out safely.
  5. How's the hangover then Nick? πŸ˜‰
  6. Have to agree Ian.... on both counts 🀣
  7. Well, you'd know better than us about that Geoff... πŸ˜‰
  8. Made me giggle. 7/10 🀣
  9. I wasted a couple of hours of my weekend attempting to free mine off then decided that my time was worth more than any savings made by reusing it. I got a pleasant surprise when I ordered a new one... there were two different couplings for my trailer, and the correct coupling was the cheaper of the two, then the trailer company I ordered from were running a 10% off voucher code, so I got a brand new coupling delivered for less than Β£180. #smuglittleginge
  10. I reckon your orange wire isn't switched live then. The switch panel needs to have voltage and yet see no voltage at the orange wire in order to retract. If your orange wire still has power when your ignition is turned off then the auto-retract won't work.
  11. Ain't that always the way πŸ€£πŸ‘
  12. @jonnyswamp, the switch does need a switched live. I found an unused bullet connector in my loom that gets 12v from the ignition barrel (Zook will have kittens when he sees this part of the loom as it's the only bit I haven't tidied up yet!) So I wired the orange wire from the LED switch into it. Results below.
  13. Congratulations on your purchase @Gordmac, and well done @Odyssey for finding her. Gord, please give us all plenty of notice before you take delivery of her... new boat = rubbish weather πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
  14. Here's the full version BREAKING: Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that due to the new Indian covid variant people will now be offered the Pun jab Please start taking this Indian Covid Variant seriously !! my neighbour caught it and has been in a korma for a week and he's only just buried his naan. His Naan did have a dodgy tikka though apparently so there was an underlying health issue.

  17. Who's Pete? Besides... my name's Neil, not Andy.
  18. Good work MacGuyver πŸ‘ I want to say it looks like a top bodge, but that's doing it a dis-service. Could well be a quality long term fix.
  19. Boobs eh? You old sea dog you πŸ˜‰πŸ€£πŸ‘

Hmm, I think you sliced that one into the rough Swampy. 3/10 from me I'm afraid.
  22. Those Landy parts are less corroded than most. Stick em on eBay quick! 🀣
