It's a shame. I heard somewhere that the UK is such a small market for the likes of Shimano, Daiwa etc that we only get a very limited selection of their total catalogue, which is why it often makes sense for us to order internationally to get the really good stuff.
To be fair, it was Thomas (my son) who caught it, and to this day I am happy to let him believe that he's caught a bull huss still π€£
But yes, there may have been a small case of mistaken identity somewhere... π―π
Ok, just found what's probably the same advert you're looking at. Boat style is quite similar to the Starfisher. Nice lines.
Twin engines are a plus in my view - engine bay looks reasonably well kept too. Shame the owner didn't tidy up the living quarters for the photos though - looks a bit untidy but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a spring clean.
Only potential down-side would be that the cockpit area looks a bit small. From the photos available I reckon it could only fish two, but that may not be a problem depending on your intended use.
On balance I'd say it's worth a sea trial π
Hi Tony,
Welcome to the Outlaws. Lovely looking boat you have there - we have a growing number of Arvor owners on here so I'm sure you'll be in good company.
We also have a fair few members in the Pompey/Solent areas. I keep my boat in Gosport and I'm also looking to target threshers this season. I have a few drifts to try out, so you'd be welcome to buddy up and get out there together.
@Odyssey is our resident shark expert - I'm sure he'd be happy to share some tips. Check out his article on shark rigs here if you haven't already: https://www.offshoreoutlaws.co.uk/articles.html/articles/how-to-make-shark-rigs-r5/
Well done Mickey! Glad you're on the water just in time for lockdown to lift and for you to get out and catch some fish π
She looks great. Got any more pics of her?
Are you planning to keep the name or change it for something more personal to you?
PS: new boat... is that why the weather looks iffy for the next few weeks then eh? At least we know who to blame now! ππ€£
Wow! Just read your post from start to finish. Sounds like you did well to get it solved in the end - looks like it fought you every step of the way. And doing it all between the tides too. Good work and thanks for sharing! π
