  1. I've read about that style. Can you post up some pics? I'm sure the gang would be interested to see more.
  2. Thought this might be of help to the newbie boat angler - an interactive Google map of the well known marks in the West and East Wight area. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=17keL1-cC0GYi0S1wvAc0zbTPkPDp88rr&usp=sharing
  3. Anyone got any reliable tips for where to find pollack in the east Wight/south of the island areas? I've been trying on and off for the last couple of seasons to find some pollack in the 3-4lb range but I'm just not connecting with them. Tried St Cat's Deep (only had bass there so far), Culver Spit (dogfish, so not all bad), and Boulder Bank (only fished it briefly so perhaps worth giving it another try). Feel free to PM me if you prefer, and as I say, I'm not after your lunker marks - I'm just looking for somewhere that holds a few plate-sized fish reliably.
  4. Pffft... you know where you can go.... ๐Ÿคจ
  5. Well, after you've finished rubbing it in... don't forget to post up a report ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘
  6. Yet he has no problem remembering his bank details!
  7. Doh! I sometimes find myself wandering into the kitchen from my home office, then wondering why I came into the kitchen in the first place...? Same with going to the shed...
  8. Sounds like a plan. Good luck!
  9. +1 to this! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  10. Where/what you got in mind? #luckyluckybarsteward
  11. Keep us posted Nick. Catch/blank reports please. Will keep my fingers crossed for you ๐Ÿคž
  12. And that's all YOU could come up with?? ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. I admire the looseness of your grip on reality there Jon ๐Ÿ‘
  14. Yep, practice makes perfect. And your post has reminded me I need to sort out a trip mechanism for my anchor. The boat came with a lovely stainless Lewmar anchor that isn't tripped, and it would be a shame to have to cut it loose if it gets snagged. I'll get busy with some cable ties until I can find a trip shackle that holds a 2 tonne tub. Anyone know of one?
  15. The rod holders will probably be fine in the marina, but I wonder if they may detach when it gets lumpy and you drop off the top of a wave? If you do mix up your cool bags... there's only one thing to do, and that's post it up on here so we can all have a giggle at your expense ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘
  16. I do like the look of their boards. I have an idea to try out to see if I can fabricate something myself for Jersey Girl. If not, I may well give him a ring too.
  17. I've had a proper look through that video now and I have to say it looks very promising, even though they weren't using jigging rods, just spinning rods, they still had a great session with some very decent fish. Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ‘
  18. And here's what's under it. Plenty of pout at 2 mins 30.
  19. Found this little vid showing what's inside the Nab Tower. Might be of interest to those of us in the east Wight area.
  20. Agreed. I've taken to slicing up the breast meat into strips - it cooks through quicker like this for the curry and it makes it sooo much easier to find and remove the shot during the food prep.
  21. Made me chuckle. 7/10. ๐Ÿ˜
  22. ๐Ÿคฃ no, she didn't! I had to be quick with the camera ๐Ÿ• ๐Ÿ’จ
