  1. Take no notice of them Martin, they're just jealous that they can't pull off a sartorial triumph such as that. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
  2. Another groaner but still raised a smile. 6/10. πŸ‘
  3. So you can't prove it then! 😢😢😢😢
  4. Exactly where have I ever disbelieved you on this point? Prove it or zip it! 😝
  5. Tackle shop calamari, in the 1lb and 5lb boxes, are exactly the same brand/s that I find in my local Chinese supermarket. Not sure they treat the squid differently between the two, so maybe you just had bad luck on the day?
  6. Good fishing PH. Personally I'm a fan of slot sizing. Makes so much sense: it balances the desire to take one for the pot with the need for conservation of the very large breeding individuals who can help to grow the average size of the gene pool.
  7. Definitely a groaner. It's a 5 from me.
  8. Geoff, that is entirely random but also rather chuckle-worthy! πŸ€£πŸ‘
  9. They both look tidy enough Ian, and perfectly serviceable. Thanks for posting them up πŸ‘
  10. Bless you Geoff. Nothing wrong with having an innocent mind πŸ‘
  11. How much are those Jigging Master rods over there Jon? Might have to consider investing in one.
  12. 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣 9.9/10 for that one πŸ‘
  13. Good on you for sticking to the lockdown. Many don't. I'm stuck inland too and missing the salt, but hey, better safe than sorry. We've all got to do our bit to beat the virus πŸ‘
  14. Yep, it's what anodes are for after all. Better to replace an anode than a prop.
  15. Yeah, it's definitely got willy-waving potential for sure.
  16. It was that thread that made me look it up. Wouldn't have bothered posting except that pasting a linky was a bridge too far for Pete, bless him!
  17. https://www.motor1.com/news/487515/mercury-verado-v12-outboard-engine/amp/ 7 litre V12 producing 600bhp! Woohoo!
  18. @GPSguru, those Hearty Rise rods carry a hefty price tag! Just looked them up online.
  19. They just hauled in a Pacific Thresher on those tiny whippy jigging rods!! πŸ˜±πŸ˜†πŸ‘
  20. Agreed - a lovely looker, with plenty of room up front. Good vid too.
  21. @Gordmac, for what it's worth, I've been impressed with Neil's Starfisher. It's just right for his family and does seem to be the perfect middle ground between overnight/weekend boat and fishing boat. We've fished three on his and it wasn't a squeeze. When and if you can, I'd suggest you do indeed find a way to go and see his boat to get an idea of what it offers.
  22. Yeah, but Mr Pirate isn't a broker. He's a boat builder who occasionally sells used boats. So he's charging brokerage fees to cover brokerage overheads he doesn't have. Like I said, never again...
