  1. Well done Steve. Good fishing 👍
  2. Nature generally doesn't produce dead straight lines, so my working assumption is that they are sonar data artifacts/discrepancies produced by differing sea conditions as the survey ship passed over that swathe of sea floor. I've seen lines like that on other sea floor maps e.g. the DORIS project. Other possibility could be tram lines left by beam trawlers, but I wouldn't expect these to start over rocky ground as the gear would get snagged.
  3. @Geoff, where are you staying? I'll be in Dartmouth this weekend.
  4. Quality catches! Well done to their captors. That striper looks immense! 😲👍
  5. Well done! A decent fish well deserved 👍 Shame about the one that got away but that's fishing I suppose.
  6. Nice one @mike farrants 👍. You got out, you caught some fish, you went to the pub. Sounds like a result to me!
  7. Top dangling @Ivan Tuna. Good work 👍
  8. @GPSguru, now's your chance to "Agree" to the above 👍👍🤣
  9. That is a cracker of a bream! Well done 👍👍. Anything else show up?
  10. Well dangled Steve. Got a lot of time for a conger or two, even if the smaller ones do trash the rigs. I also have to agree with your observation about our hobby/sport/pastime. Nothing better to clear the mind than a session by the water in my view, be it salt or fresh.
  11. At that range a 12ga would do just fine. BB shot under the waterline as you pass their berth and job's a good 'un.
  12. Pot calling kettle!!
  13. Nice looking bike. Good luck with the rebuild!
  14. Nice work. It's often the way that flat conditions which promise much makes for hard fishing. Glad you got there in the end though, and a hopping eel did the business for that codling. Good thinking 👍
  15. I'd never heard of a TR6 bike before. Got any pics?
  16. As in a Triumph TR6? With 4 wheels? And a 2.5 straight six?
  17. I'm the same with lures... 🤣
  18. Isn't that the whole point of learning to play the guitar??
  19. Yeah, but I have some old Hogy's that I remembered the name from.
  20. Suspect it's these, used like a redgill above the main lure. https://hogylures.com/collections/original-series-soft-baits
  21. Top spannering that man! Very nice bike and very nice thread. Well done. Looking forward to seeing it once it's finished. Maybe ride it to the next OO's meet?
  22. Top dangling that man! What size pop-ups were you using?
