  1. I had exactly the same thought. Life's too short.
  2. No first hand experience, and it could be a tall fishermans tale, but I've heard of marshmellows for cod. Might have to take a bag of them with me next time I'm out...
  3. Out of curiosity, what was it about lockdown that made you buy a boat?
  4. That looks like a great forecast Jon. #weatherjealous
  5. Still available. Would make a great Christmas gift for the boat angler in your life 😉
  6. You know what... I'm actually gonna have to try catching a dogfish on Pedigree chum now, just to see if it can be done. Go back to my kennel mark and put two lines down to do a side-by-side comparison. Could even drop a third with a pop-up hair rig just to see what brings them in the best...
  7. Could try one of those 15 kilo bags of dry kibble for groundbait too while I'm at it...
  8. Indeed, but as I said to @Odyssey above, I can't get the chunks to stay on the hook. Too mushy. But... thinking about this a bit more, how about those bags they put crab cart in for cod? I wonder if I could stuff them with dog food?
  9. Fancy doing a "How-To" on drag washer and bearing replacement Ian?
  10. Hmmm. I liked your crappy jokes better...
  11. Ah, the most important purchase of all 🤣
  12. A bit like the queen, but more musky...
  13. Sounds like you have plenty of species to chase. 👍
  14. Sorry to hear that you've not had a great experience. I wonder if yours was a one off? I have an SX5.3 and an MXJ5.8 and they've both been faultless over the last three years I've had them. I also have an EX30W which I have yet to use in anger. The quality of all three is spot on.
  15. Blimey! You lot have got your knives out tonight haven't you?!?! #gingershavefeelingstoo
  16. Well, the weather's not getting any better and neither's my cabin fever... 😬
  17. How deep do you use your live view? I've been skeptical that this sort of kit is only really useful for shallow-water lake bassing (major market for US manufacturers) but I might re-assess my opinion based on the experience of others.
