  1. Very nice looking rig. Good purchase. You must be very pleased and somewhat frustrated at having to wait so long to get her bum wet?
  2. It's some form of jellyfish/squid crossover thing. I remember seeing this vid on YT a couple of weeks ago. Very spooky.
  3. Welcome to Offshore Outlaws! Good to have you with us. Your username seems familiar - guessing you were on the dark side previously too? πŸ˜‰ Orkney boats are well thought of. Good choice. Post up some pics in the "Show us yer boat" thread so we can all admire her πŸ‘ Edit: Swampy beat me to it πŸ˜„ We do love a good boat pic!
  4. Shhhh!!! No one will buy her if they know about that! 🀣
  5. Hi there Anthony. Welcome to Offshore Outlaws! Did Wayne send you here by any chance? Some info about the boat: Full service history and I'm the second owner from new. Factory fitted Suzuki DF80 outboard - this is the largest horsepower outboard for the hull design. She has nearly every factory extra added (stainless rails, stainless bait table, stainless boarding ladder, towing eyes for water toys, rod racks, stainless nav light arch, rear bench seat, seat cushions (unused); in fact all bar the auxiliary engine mount) and sits on her own trailer. Comes with an Elite Ti-7 plotter/fishfinder, with a full UK C-Map chart and a TotalScan side-scan/down-scan transducer. Fixed VHF which connects via NMEA0183 to the plotter to enable GPS location for DSC messaging/emergencies. Twin batteries, with charging managed by a Blue Sea charge controller, with a 1-2-OFF battery switch. 5kg bruce anchor, 5m of chain and 70m of octoplait anchor rode. Twin 30 litre fuel tanks and one 25 litre fuel tank, all with Suzuki dry-break fuel line connectors. Her last service was in May 2020 and she had 97 hours and 15 minutes recorded. This will have increased since then but not significantly. She's in the same club that Wayne keeps his boat in, in Portsmouth, and is available for inspection and sea trials. I've not advertised her for sale anywhere yet but I'd be looking for somewhere in the region of Β£14k.
  6. Just to add to @suzook12's post on Electrical tools, you really do get what you pay for. I've had two different crimpers at the cheap end of the spectrum and both times they've started to bend out of shape at the hinge pin when crimping firmly. On one of them the jaws started to open up so that they would never meet properly when closed. Buyer beware!
  7. They're exactly that - smilies. Curious that you're not able to see them though. What browser are you using? And what version thereof?
  8. What are these rectangles Geoff? Can you post up a screenshot?
  9. I've just ordered another batch of OO stickers for boats/tackle boxes etc, due for delivery in about a weeks time. If anyone's interested then this batch will work out at about Β£3 per sticker. Post up if you're interested in having one.
  10. Sounds like an exciting project. Post up some pics on the "Show us yer boat" thread, and perhaps start a thread so we can see how the rebuild goes? Oh, and welcome to Offshore Outlaws! Good to have you with us πŸ‘
  11. These are the forerunners of the Pirate 21 right? I don't have any first-hand knowledge of them but I have admired them for a while. Yours doesn't happen to be the one from Langstone that was advertised online recently, does it?

Another "Dad" joke! But better than Fishy's effort. 3/10 for that Steve.
  13. Bit of a "Dad" joke that... 2/10 I'm afraid. Must try harder... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
  14. 🀣🀣🀣 so true!

Welcome to Offshore Outlaws Mutley. Just seen the pics of your boat in the "Show us yer boat" thread. Very nice πŸ‘
  16. Sounds like a good day out Josh πŸ‘. Top dangling as always! I had a big fat blank on Sunday πŸ˜–
  17. Possibly. But then I turned my nose up at 99.9% of your suggestions didn't I 🀣
  18. Yeah, and I turned it off for Pete 🀫
  19. Who's Tim? And what's he doing on your shelf??
  20. Looks very nice Scott. How is the cabin laid out? I'm not familiar with the MF Marlins.
  21. I can see how that would have been a pain to do, and would have been easy to bugger up the cut.
  22. As the title says, why did you get into boating? For me it was the desire to get to better marks for fishing. I consider myself an angler first, boater second - the boat was a means to catch more fish... if only it actually worked out that way in reality πŸ˜ͺ #whatablanker... What about you?
  23. Welcome Scott - post up a pic of your MF in the "Show us yer boat" thread. πŸ‘
  24. He's already found me Jon, and yeah, the drill bit was a bit shit. Must try harder next time.
