  1. Don't encourage him Gary or we'll never hear the end of it. We're already sick to the back teeth with all of his blue water/big fish/cheaper tackle/better in Oz photos and we don't need him telling us how good they are at salt flushing either 🙄🤣
  2. Hey, that's an impressive result, especially given the state it was in before. Definitely worth doing then. And well done for your jerry-rigging the pump/circulation system. It clearly worked 👍 #macgyver 🤣
  3. Erm, how is that relevant to this thread @JonC?
  4. Very cute. I'd better not show your pic to my daughters or they'll no doubt want one.
  5. Well done Mike and Tim. Some nice fish and a good result for the skipper. 👍
  6. Good write up. Made me chuckle with "guru ghillie" 🤣
  7. Congrats on first place! Well dangled. Good photos of some nice fish too. Shame about the weather on the Saturday but hey ho.
  8. Some lovely photos there Jon. The top pic is idyllic.
  9. Already had my first dip of the season a couple of weekends ago. Temps were ok but both the wind and tides were too strong, so crap vis and hard work fighting the current. In short, it was good to be back in the water but wasn't expecting much, and that's exactly what I got 🤣
  10. I'm up for it. Not wetted a line for ages. When are we going?
  11. Good post, and well done for helping to get this topic back on track. 👍😉
  12. According to the internet... "the 4 long plastic strips are for you to tape the knot after you have tied the line onto the spool. It get the knot out of the way so it doesn't get cough during casting if you get that far. It also provide a anchor point for braids if you don't use backing. I would still use mono line backing so prevent braid cutting into the spool. Also save the amount of braid line wasted since you'll never go that far down into your line." http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=50108&sid=f899410784354eea7c8e87c3e3997c1e
  13. Those were the days! Not all of that stuff has passed the test of time though but Darude was a particular favourite of mine. Binary Finary was another good one. @GPSguru, if he likes that genre, tell him to give Lost Frequencies a listen. Similar but better.
  14. Although this is most chuckle-worthy I can only give you a 7/10. Would have been a 9 but I had to mark you down for the poor spelling and grammar.
  15. Crikey. One of the rare few threads I didn't look in on and here are you lot trashing the place like drunken teenagers at their first home-alone party...
  16. Nice one! That's a good size Mike. Well done. 👍
  17. Chances are you copy/pasted the wrong link from YouTube?
  18. Sorry @Geoff you're wrong there. This is all Greek...
