  1. You got out, you caught a dogfish. Result! 👍 Shame about all the other stuff that snaffled your dogfish bait though... bloody pests. 🤣
  2. Yes, based on my preliminary research it's either balls to the wall spending or buy a project and re-engine and re-tube it.
  3. Yes! That's it! The solution to my problem. I'll give up fishing and become a trailer snail. #gofuckyourself
  4. Atlantis hulls are spot on. Very well made and with plenty of sea-keeping ability. No doubt she is a beast and a perfect tuna boat. Selling because I'm after a rib. I'd like to encourage my kids to get on the water more and a rib would enable them to jump in and out of the water more easily, swimming and diving etc. And also, to be honest, it's your reports and @GPSguru's that have rekindled my desire to fish the south west. I used to keep an Orkney 440 down in Dartmouth years back. I have family in Devon and Cornwall so I could trailer a rib down to the South Hams or Fowey and have places to stay for a night or three. Or maybe I find a smaller hard boat up here and buy a Takacat or other SIB to keep in a family member's garage down there. Lucky to have options but not sure what's right for me and family just yet.
  5. Yep, and currently owned by yours truly. I'm sure a deal can be done 😉👍
  6. Ahem... https://www.findafishingboat.com/atlantis-26c/ad-125100 #justsaying... 👍
  7. He should consider it a mark of acceptance. He's made it into the Outlaws inner circle of danglers and blankers.
  8. Ordinarily yes, but there are no punctuation marks in a hashtag. #downwiththekidsyeah
  9. Are you missing an 'e' by any chance? #cantevengethisabbreviationsright
  10. They were supposed to be the pinnacle of 2 stroke technology but Bombardier, the parent company of Evinrude, pulled out of the market so clearly they can't have been that successful otherwise they would still be made & sold new. Personally I would avoid a boat with an E-Tec on it and I'd be suspicious of a used engine only - got to ask yourself why the boat owner removed the E-Tec in the first place - did they replace it with a 4-stroke perhaps?
  11. Sounds like an amazing trip. Well done to all 👍
  12. Oh, come on! You seriously expect this lot not to ask? Or even to jump to smutty conclusions?? 😉🤣
  13. That looks like a hodge-podge of terminal bits. Was it all from one rig, or could it be from more than one rig/angler? In a way I'm glad to see the hooks have dissolved - thinking about fish snap-offs or cutting the line on deep-hooked fish here.
  14. I don't get out of bed for less than three...
  15. Thank you for a top trip out. Sometimes it's not just about the fishing. We had some good giggles and caught a few fish - what's not to like?! PS: glad you like the Icey-Tek. They're hard to find in that size so you did well there 😉
  16. Good effort! That looks to have been a pig of a job. Glad it all went back together ok and that it feels better than before 👍
  17. Sorry to hear that. As you say, either a good used gearbox or a complete engine then. Fingers crossed you can find one of either for reasonable money.
  18. 78 patents awarded apparently, with more in the pipeline. They publish their (market-facing) data here: https://www.sharrowmarine.com/about and also in the article that Neil posted. I know what you mean - seems too good to be true. But then again, if/when Sharrow gain market traction and volumes go up/prices come down we may see all new outboards running with these props as standard. Time will tell.
  19. I'd be impressed if you're still boating by then Neil.
