Yeah, it was just a quick reaction to Luke's post. I'll raise it on the next SLT strategy meeting for further discussion - for example, there is a way to allow access to members who have proved they're not anti's in disguise - post count, # of positive reactions given & received etc. @Maverick has been in touch with some good suggestions on the same too. I reckon we'll need to put our heads together to decide on the right way to go about this but a private section just for active members certainly has its benefits. -

This is totally fair enough. For what it's worth I have just now changed the forum settings so that the Toothy Critters sub-forum cannot be viewed by guests, only registered members. -
Not sure whether to laugh or cry at that... 3/10 for a rather contrived effort - too long-winded... but 7/10 for the juvenile humour which did get me chuckling 🤣

I'll give that a go when I'm at the marina next then I reckon and save them for stuffing into squid tubes at home. I can see a bait prep session on the cards.

Not heard or tried mussel before but I can see how it could work, being all about the scent. Presume you mean regular mussels that you'd find growing on piles in marinas or on harbour walls?

No, it's exactly as it sounds. I invited Jon out on my tub during the early part of the pandemic then had to uninvite him when they introduced rules on how many people could meet up. And he's been dining out on it ever since. On the positive side, the psychological trauma caused by the bump appears to have helped him get over his pot noodle fetish - he went through a phase of only eating pot noodles. Or maybe the trauma caused the fetish... who knows, but he's better now... and still milking it 🙄

Fairly sure this may have been asked before, but I'm curious to hear what bait everyone uses for cod? With thoughts turning to the winter cod season I'm interested to break my duck with a Solent cod this year. What have you used with success? What rigs too?

Yesss! I always knew the humble dogfish would be a winner one day! Well dangled. A good win 👍 And kudos for fessing up that a doggie won it for you - the rest of this lot will be spitting into their horlicks just thinking about it, but as I've always said, they're the best fish in the sea and always obliging when you need them most 😉
