    Another vote for Blakdog and carbontex washers. I replaced the ancient original (leather?) washers on a couple of Mitchell 602's with carbontex versions - a huge improvement.

    Legendary composer. Made a groundbreaking transition between classical and synth music in the '80's and made some of the most recognizable soundtracks of the time.

    You say that but there's a growing value in being able to tell it like it is. An example - I even saw the "ability to speak truth to power" appearing on an internal job advert earlier this week, so there's clearly an awakening about the value of hearing the reality of the situation. I feel a shift coming in the next couple of years where the C-suite will realise the value in hearing what's happening on the ground rather than surrounding themselves with yes-men.

    First blank in three years? You're just showing off now!! 😜🤣 Kudos for posting though - I'd alway rather be blanking than working. Had a mega back-to-back day of meetings today. Started in the car during the school/nursery run and didn't finish until gone 7pm. Pffft! #slavetothegrind

    No shame in a blank, especially if your last one can be measured in years not weeks! Suggest you do post it as a Catch Report as it's healthy to post the blanks as well as the successes. If nothing else it gives noobie lurkers a more realistic view of boat angling 👍

    For what it's worth I used epoxy and fly tying thread on a beach rod that shattered a ring. The epoxy and the thread whipping provided the chemical/mechanical bond to hold the ring in place. Not sure whether hot melt glue would be strong enough used alone, and not sure if it would provide a good enough finish as a top coat?
