  1. Top dangling everyone, especially @Andy_B! Very nice fish indeed πŸ‘ Well skippered too. I could use some lessons from you to put my crew on the fish more... πŸ˜”
  2. Is @Andy_B gonna put up a catch report? [Nudge, nudge! πŸ˜‰]
  3. Good fishing and a lucky escape with that submerged object - your luck was in so go buy a lottery ticket! Wonder where the pollack have gone? Fished out or just somewhere different?
  4. Oooh! That's a tough break. Fair play to him though - he took it on the chin and posted the video too. 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

We have quite a few members from your area, @Odyssey, @jonnyswamp, @Abozzy and @Tankybouy to name a few. Warriors are great boats - do you trail her or keep her on a mooring? Show us a photo or two πŸ‘

Welcome Wayne. Good to have you aboard. Where do you fish?
  7. Hi Wayne, Lewmar has a good reputation - reliable but expensive. I have a Quick Prince on my 26ft boat - does the job but a bit slow on recovery. When I used to have a Predator 165, similar to your Warrior, I found that the Alderney method worked for me. Certainly much cheaper than installing a windlass. One question for you - is the Warrior's foredeck structurally strong enough to install & recover a windlass safely?
  8. Very nice result! Kudos for making the effort to head all the way down there too. A long old haul - well done πŸ‘
  9. Keeping fingers crossed for you Nick. Hope you bag a lunker 🀞🀞
  10. Yep, definite hint of the 80's and 90's about that hoodie. When I first saw that photo I thought it was a shell-suit top.

  12. Ouch! Look after yourself out there Jon πŸ₯΅
  13. So following this line of thinking, there must be an advantage to paying out lots more line when downtiding to put the bait further away from the rode noise i.e. fish as far away from the rode as you can, either sideways or far downtide.
  14. Thanks - pics always good.πŸ‘ I'm hoping to be out on Friday myself. Not sure where yet, but probably East Wight area.
  15. A snood would be good. Practical and could double up as a face mask. Probably cheaper/easier to manufacture too.
  16. Just think, if we'd gone with it and made some face masks back then we'd have sold loads by now...
  17. Hold on.... this idea seems familiar. I'm sure some bright spark already suggested this back when Covid first arose but the idea was pooh-poohed by @Saintly Fish... How times change.
  18. The double game week is where it's at πŸ˜‰. Looking forward to this week - should be a good one.
  19. Hmmm, a 3.5 for that. Not terribly funny and with an obvious punchline. [Says the humourless ginge...]
