Agreed. Still too far out to be getting excited, but at least the forecasts offer a hint of a trip. This time last week it was all high teens for as far as the eye could see.

The "free" transfer simply means you won't be docked any points for transferring players. You still have to pay the difference if you're transferring in a more expensive player than the one you're transferring out.

Would the transfers give you more than 3 players from the same team? Or too many of a given type (Defender/Forward etc)? Lastly, got enough cash?

Yes, the idea is that you boil them to reset the crystals back to a liquid state. They go hard as they discharge their heat. No reason why you couldn't put them all in the same pot.
