Daughter and I went out early today to scratch some species at Bullocks Patch. She had a great time. "Faster Daddy, go faster!"

Fish weren't playing ball. Just a solitary "bull huss" again for our efforts at the Patch, so we dashed west to Sandown Bay for a drift or two. I got some cracking sonar pics of the Camswan which I'll post up later.

To top it off we put the hammer right down on the way back after she kept on asking to go faster... 31 knots over Culver Spit! Woohoo! 🥳🥳 I ran out of balls before the rpms did! 👍

As you like to play mr fixit Fishy, can you sell me Andy's old boat for a fiver please?

I was out on a group of four wrecks off the SW corner of the IoW back in the summer, and I wanted to test out the new HDS Live 9 and Active Imaging transducer side scan capabilities. Below is a screen shot of the bow of the Kurland (details here: map.forgottenwrecks.org/uploads/documents/FWFWW_Site%20report_Kurland.pdf) compared with the Marine Archaeology Trust's professional sidescan view from the Forgotten Wrecks report.

Pretty good correlation between the two I think. The HDS side scan was taken at 455khz for the wider cone angle. Next time I'm there I'll try the same drift using 800khz so that I can get a better resolution image.

Incidentally, the Forgotten Wrecks Map is a great resource for wreck hunting on the south coast (sadly not yet made it to Wales  ). Well worth a browse for the history as well as hunting for wreck marks.

The truth of the matter is, Andy’s a lazy sod and can’t be arsed to look for himself. Good job he’s got mates that keep an eye out for his best interests. Or he’d still be in the shingle struggling with a trailer. 

Can I suggest in classifieds it's broken down to at least for sale and wanted, maybe even boat gear and fishing tackle

the trim tabs that you have . iwas able to youse the make and found the hinges that i wonted for a fation of the prise of mine and readly availeboul. so i picked up som  yousfull tips😀
