Well done young man 👍
And a big well done to @Saintly Fish for continuing to take his lad out, despite getting constantly outfished 🤣

Seller told me maybe refit in 2008 😇🤣
As Suzook12 says, check and double check the work that has been done
I thought these boats weren't made after the 70's, so that is quite an old hull and any repairs that have been made, could be hiding something nasty
Soft spots in the deck and transon and osmosis on the hull are the main things I would be looking at
@Clinker is your man, he's pretty good on his general knowledge of most boats

I have just posted my reasons for this search in my general discussion post. I may have posted this request a year or so ago. Does anyone have or know where I can get a scrap or damaged 280 leg. I am also looking for a scrap prop from a 280 duoprop so that I can remove all trace of the blades in an attempt to run my DP leg as am SP. I did wonder if any of the prop repairers my have a dead prop, but living in landlocked Lincolnshire (the wash does not count) I just don't know where to start looking. Thank you. Geoff.
What parts do you need, pretty sure there are a pair of Volvo legs down our marina, very badly damaged though
Hole in the casing around the prop shaft bearing carrier on one, think the other may be as bad or worse
-
What hp engine is in your boat, what size/weight is it (boat) and what props are you currently running
-
I had a 290 duo prop on my last boat and had trouble with the reverse latch not engaging, I took it off and made some stainless brackets to stop the leg kicking up in reverse
My problem was due to lack of maintenance on the pivot shaft (hadn't been greased) so the reverse latch didn't turn when the leg turned, therefore not engaging when reverse was selected
I still have the latch mechanism somewhere, also got a set of A3 or 4 props in the garage somewhere

Too lumpy here, but the positive I take from that is; the rugby is on and the pub is ten minutes away 😜🏉🍻
I'm not feeling positive today 🏉🙄

It's all tax deductible so go for the £30!
Not a problem cost wise, all I use Office/Word for is altering existing invoices (dates, amounts) and saving them to be emailed
Is it an annual cost ?

There was also one in Bognor for similar money, but I didn’t think you would want to mess about with the basic importing and getting visas etc.
That's the one I mentioned, we'd drop it in Portishead on way back and sail the last few miles
No import duties then

Which one for basic office tasks
General invoices etc
2016 at less than £20, or the 2021 for £30
Is this a yearly fee

Hopefully stronger antibiotics might do the trick. This mornings sample looks like I go it from a muddy puddle !

Age getting to you or illness??
Man flu, crept up on me Sunday night then mugged me of any energy I had left yesterday
Crawled into bed about 3.30 and got up at 8, showered, ate and went back to bed and slept right through til 7 this morning
I also feel very old
-
Is it worth the upgrade from 10 to 11 ?
The last time I upgraded I lost access to word and office etc, is there a way of getting it back without paying the 70 odd quid a year ?

He’s keeping his, he’s bought a campervan now
As I keep reminding some friends that have them, they're not campervans
They're caravanettes 👍

You did Nick, post #14.
Now who's an oldie?Certainly felt like it this week, have only managed to work until just after dinner most days, feel like I've been steam rollered
Was thinking about a nighter tomorrow as well, that's not happening now
-
It's back open again Pete
At least it was 2 mins ago, may be shut again now though

Did you get to the bottom of this issue @jonnyswamp?
Thought I had replied to this, must have dreamed I did
All good, on the last outing after steaming for 30 mins or so, checked when we dropped anchor and there was no movement
Same on return journey, just something I'd never noticed before
The oldies were right 👨🦳👍

A mate of mine is after something like a Warrior/Raider etc including a trailer
Anything about ?
Not too sure on budget, but I assume he's looked at the prices of these types of boats, but I'll ask him tomorrow
I've told him about the usual sites to look on, thought I'd ask here as well
Has @headlight sold his Raider ?

SPJ set up for wrecking.

I bought a cheapy off the net for £70 and used my fathom 12 with it, it worked and I caught a few fish
I have now bought a Temple Reef Elevate Mk 2 E2 coupled with a Maxel Rage 25 after advice off both GPSGuru and Terry (jigabite)
I hope to use this new set up next Sat 12th on a wrecker out of Weymouth (small tide etc) if the weather plays ball
Rod was £200 and reel was £330, I had a moment of madness and just bought them
Definitely a nicer action on the rod and the reel is a work of art
With the jigs all well North of a 10er, I wont be bouncing these across the bottom for Cod
But I'll be happy to pick up a few decent Pollock mid water
