What's your favourite fish to catch?

I have a orginal 15LB Ugly stick so anything that puts a bend in that is great fun,also Bream on light tackle. Nearly lost the rod when this beauty hit it,must remember to always check the drag before sitting down for a brew🤣

I'm hoping the boat will be back in the water this Friday after it's usual service and anti-foul,I have heard that there has been the odd Plaice caught, just need the weather to play along with my plans. Steve

Andy the gantry mount was a scanstrut product which has now been continued it seems,although I do have a drawing with dimensions which if Neil was going down the route of getting one made it may have helped,the extra mast assembly with the See-Me on I made myself in the workshop and a mate got it polished, so I'm sorry I can't provide any info on fabricators for stainless.

I have looked into my boat records and have a drawing for the gantry mount and also the extra mastt assembly I made , if you PM your email address I can send them over if you want to get your own manufactured. Steve

I can see you love them so much, and I hope you keep catching them, they are almost as bad as strap congers when you are trying for the non exsistant cod🤣

Shouldn't think your crap at fishing but I'm afraid the days of catching loads of plaice in one session has gone, although there is still the chance of getting a good fish at the marks you have said but it's just hard work😂

Hi All I've been looking at this sight and have now decide to join up,my name is Steve and retired last March after working in oceanography for 33 years and then Covid hit and scuppered alot of my plans for my retirement. On the boat front I've been in partnership for years and have had Pilot dory,Raider 18 wheelhouse and since 2008 a Aquafish 23 which is based in Haslar marina and fish Nab and Selsey areas and occasionally the Solent.
