  1. Demand has always outstripped supply with zziplex rods. But as you say I would suspect carbon cloth and resins prices have gone through the roof, the rods hold strong money secondhand too.
  2. Such a shame Barbara isn’t passing it onto lee to carry on. I’ve owned more zziplex rods than anything else over the years, they just felt right to me.
  3. More porgies mate? 👍👍👌
  4. At last the weather is great for the weekend! A sharking we will go👍👊
  5. Haha yeah all good bud. Been windy but not that bad seen loads worse, went up on a mates roof today to save some ridge tiles that had blown off their perch lol.
  6. Nice one chaps, so I can spend more on other junk instead lol.
  7. is there any advantage to adding one to my Garmin echomap 70s its already loaded with blue chart as standard any advantage eh?
  8. wind slow enough to keep the stop knot at the top of the float this will keep your bait where you want it, make sure you have an extra oz of lead on as I found this helps a lot to keep your gear down when putting on winding tension, I always use circles and never rush to wind down if the float goes 'unless its coming towards you' you know this anyway lol
  9. yes I do it but im setting the float drift to around 200yds then very very slowly retrieve it, I find a fillet of mackerel cut longways again or a whole squid both just hooked once in the top works very well in the tide, try setting the rig up like a Portland rig so when the tide is faster the trace flows better. I dont tend to get any tangles even in 6knts of tide.
  10. Anyone seen handled or used one of these?? Thinking about the 6lb class for float fishing live baits pollack/bass.
  11. I stayed a few days in narooma back in 2000 absolutely loved it. The guys in the top tackle shop told me about the last uk anglers they saw before me who hired a load of gear to catch the giant rays off the slipway. ‘Bloody crazy pommies’ they laughed. 🤣🤣
  12. serious kit, run them flat-out for a week you buy another boat with the fuel cost 😂😂
  13. Hehe I’m still good at hooking em be the looks of it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
