OrkneyCorkney got a reaction from daio web in Useful sites and angling resources
If you like to see boat building you might like to take a look at this channel. One Man and His Boat. Barry Brunson is a commercial fisherman who is busy fitting out a Cygnus as his working boat. Some really good work going on there. Over 80 videos to watch

Some cover versions work well. Alpha was certainly giving it his all to get some audience participation.....

When they discovered the boat was only 14 foot I was directed to where they moor the tenders. How undignified or what.

Loch Awe. The great thing about having a small boat is getting around the place to different waters. Had a trip to Falmouth last year. Great boat for a Billy no mates but would be well cramped with two anglers.

I fitted two new coils last year, they replaced the originals that had lasted 30 years. Doubt new ones will last as long.

Mr Mariner fired up and running sweet. Not been used in six months - always a relief that it’s not a carb strip down job 🤗

OrkneyCorkney got a reaction from Geoff in Tohatsu Outboards
Thanks everyone. I’d best start saving up then. Just waiting to hear back from Orkney ref the transom build quality. I’ve seen photo’s of 25’s on the back of 440’s but my hull has 20 max on the plate so that’s my max.

To be honest I don’t think these days there is such a thing as a bad engine. Tohatsu always have had a good rep as reliable. I’m no expert but I think they are rebadged engines from another manufacturer. @suzook12 could probably shed more light?

An original cover version. I strangely liked it. 6.5/10

Great pictures and nice to see smaller boat here, as a fellow owner of a 14 footer.
Perhaps there should be a sub group on here called “Inshore inlaws” Only joking 🤔

No offence intended to anyone - remember I am one of the small boat fraternity. We have a local band? called the Billinghay Ruffs who raised money "for help the heroes" and in one of their amusing songs they referred to themselves as the inbreds - it's what comes from living in an isolated rural area!!! If you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at? Geoff.

This is the SH with both AIS and GPS
Just bare in mind the AIS is receive only, if you want TX and RX AIS then you need an AIS unit....
An AIS that talks to your plotter would show you where any boats are in relation to you

Still need to fit antenna on cuddy roof but want to get boat out of garage to determine exactly where to drill holes etc. As we’ve had snow on ground for last two days it doesn’t look like I’ll be doing it for a while.

I just took a couple of late (wet) afternoon pics of boat and trailer safe and secure (hopefully) on my drive. Geoff. ☺️

Okay, all that reflection and shear size of the Elandess puts my polishing efforts on the wee boat in perspective. And before @Geoff volunteers me, no I’m not going to polish that one!
