    I have a 10kg Delta with 12m 8mm chain and 210 metres of 12mm nylon 5.5 ton boat at 8.9 metres long The most important thing when using the alderney ring retrieve method is that the chain weighs more than the anchor.

    People living at Sandbanks are not getting off the peninsula unless they have a tractor (no not a Chelsea one) as the road is closed with around 3/4' of water in places. Whitecliff playing fields are being covered with blown sea water, Hamworthy Park/beach is flooded with Poole harbour looking a total mess, Went down my boat earlier and put additional ropes on her, fingers now well and truly crossed as I'm not going along the pontoon in this mess

    Quite windy here but not constant getting the odd gust which looks fairly strong. Forecast for here has also increased, now giving 97mph by 9am

    Eerily quite here in Poole at the moment but winds forecast to start increasing at around 1am getting up to 93 mph for 9am tomorrow. I will be going down to Cobbs Quay at some point tomorrow to check my boat, what I find will determine whether I have coffee or something stronger

    Whatever is available at the time. I also freeze down fish guts and trimmings for use as groundbait, I don't add bran or any other items to bulk it out as I think the fish I'm after eat fish

    I occasionally use the Berley Bomb whether it works or not who knows. We use them in 40-60ft to ground bait for Bream, it always come back up empty so they do deposit the bait however, my old saying was if their not biting you're in the wrong place which sometimes works lol

    As you know it is easy to put more that one emoji in but it is long winded so coding in the ability and enlarging the choice of emojis would be a good thing which will please simple minds like mine
