  1. We have Uneek clothing for our company stuff and its actually ok
  2. I think admin should put their foot down and stamp on that idea
  3. You should be able to find a supplier that will do individual items. As a club pbsbac used to hold stock of pre manufactured goods. The only trouble with that is you would need to hold at least 3 sizes of each item to ensure you had stuff in stock when requested. Also someone has to store and fund the items which can be a fair outlay. We spoke to our supplier (Funky Peach) who were happy to keep our details and allow individuals to order items on an adhock basis. The other benefit was that the members could pick any items of clothing on the suppliers books. We have embroidered club badge on the front with printed web address on the back this is a set format which members are not allowed to deviate from. The members can also add their own or boats name or whatever they wish with all costs born by them. Benefits are no stock, no financial outlay, easy purchasing, adding personal information, larger choice of clothing items. That said some suppliers will not do that, our work wear provider likes a minimum of 12 items or we have to pay a premium for the privilege of smaller quantities
  4. Current forecast is a F5 wind with tide am with wind against tide pm Borderline for my boat but the charter you have chosen is a big boat so he may well decide it is fishable. If it doesn't change my guess is the skipper could go for larger stuff am then inshore for flats pm
  5. Perfek, well done Leo on getting the old fella back home ok
  6. That made me feel sick just thinking about it
  7. Wishing Offshore Outlaws a very happy first birthday and a special thanks to all admins for getting this going a big thumbs up from me
  8. Poole Sea Angling Centre is just a few doors away from the Quayside Guest House
  9. As it appears pointless to ask fish face how much is it Andy
  10. Yep use floats from an anchored boat in Poole harbour in the same way as Brian, needs a bit of tide though to cover more ground
  11. Welcome back Brian, when up for renewal change your antivirus software. I use to use Norton years ago and always had issues with it
  12. You will probably be ok with 12-20lb gear, all it would mean is if anchored in a large tide in deepish water your rod will bend more than others
  13. Good that your grandson enjoyed the fishing trip Tony, its all about memory making plus hopefully you have gained a crew member for life. My boy started fishing with me at 4 years old and still loves it at 40
  14. After a request from one of my granddaughters who wanted to have a day out on the boat with family and friends we found ourselves going through the 10:30 bridge with the masses. First stop was Studland Bay however it was windier then expected so went back in the harbour. Motored up through blood alley (mid Brownsea Island and Furzey island) and said to the crew it looks nice here but no apparently we had to go up behind Arne to see if Sammy seal was home, nope, not home. It was however full of boats plus still windy with a northerly blowing through so back to blood alley. Dropped the hook in a suitable place and had them jumping all around us..................................grand kids that is jumping off the boat, they had a blast playing loads of water games. It was Phoebe's 12th birthday who had commandeered the boat for her last before teen birthday treat. Boats are great for fishing and entertaining the family. Feeling privileged even though I had caught no fish but did make some loverly memories, lubberly jubberley
  15. Best purchase for me has been a new flybridge cover after my old cover got torn to shreds after winds earlier in the year
  16. No matter what your budget in the size range of boats we can afford I don't think there is such a thing as a boat as perfect boat (ask fishy) it's whether the boat is near enough perfect for the money that can be afforded. One thing to bear in mind is that owning a boat is not all about the purchase price its justifying the ongoing costs once bought which is where I find myself.
  17. Bought my boat second hand 6 years ago and just had it valued at about the same price as I paid back then, am tempted but as others am in a quandary as to what to buy next plus what would I need to pay for it. Oh what to do
  18. Agree with fishy, 2 or 3 times boat length of chain would be fine along with however much warp needed to give you 4 or 5 times depth being fished. The weight of the anchor and chain will determine the size of buoy required as large as you can store as it will make you life easier.
  19. Wow bloody massive, good luck in your search
  20. I don't think a jump from a Raider to a Pirate is big enough to make much difference
  21. I am Poole based so can offer some pointers re gear. You will not get all those species on one mark so take several sets of gear just in case. Tides are similar to those experienced off of the IOW which should give you an idea of whats required. Inshore for plaice and bream use 6-12lb gear. Offshore for rays and conger depending on tides you may get away with 12-20lb but if large tides you will need 20-30lb. If you get blondes they can easily be 20lb plus which in any sort of tide are a challenge. Congers can range from straps to 30lb plus with the average being around 15-20lb. All this said speak with your skipper who will know the week before what the weather is likely to be and what you will be going for.
