  1. Twas a great red letter day with the weather and sea conditions. Shame we never landed more fish on the SPJ gear, but some lessons learnt and we will be back for more soon!! Shame @JonC couldn't make it, but next time eh Jon!!
  2. Some proper stonking fishies there bud!!
  3. Nice Mike. But I notice your arms get longer and longer. You must have some pretty heavy shopping bags😂
  4. Nice one Malc. Good fishing, and a nice write up. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻
  5. Well done on getting out and I to a couple of decent looking fish! 💪🏻

Yeah well done on coming clean @Malc, many wouldn't!!!
  7. Lovely bass there bazzer !!
  8. No neither is mine, I was just expanding on what @daio web was suggesting.
  9. Be sure to put it in a cloth bag first though and do up the end. Or soak it in a bath over night with a bottle of fabric softener poured in.
  10. My windlass does exactly the same thing. Think it's more to do with the weight of the rode and the depth of the locker. If the rode is lightweight it doesn't fall too good, and if the locker is quite shallow then the rode has no depth to fall properly so backs up. I have to go upfront when I retrieve too, but with a remove around my neck it's easy. ps, every windless I've ever had has done the same regardless of rope type of size etc
  11. Oh, He said HE taught YEW all you No
  12. Dave you have to slightly crop photos from your phone. Go to edit, then shrink it slightly by dragging the lines in a bit. Doesn't need to be a lot.
  13. Not if I've got any say in it. I'll be in your waters!
  14. Nice little vid, thanks for sharing and well done on the pollock. Its looks from the start of the video (yes I know it's sped up) that you have to steer quite a lot to keep the seadoo in a straight line. Is that the case at low speed?
  15. That's not a pop at one of your countrymen is it Nick? 🤣
  16. Some mayo next time would be nice though!!
  17. It probably lost a bit of moisture too by the time you got it to land. That can make a difference.
