  1. Well after a trip to Yarmouth today the fridge has decided to start working again!! Maybe I have a loose and dusty connection somewhere. Still, as long as it gets me through the next three days. Nothing like going away for 3 nights on the boat without a fridge to keep the beer cold! 😱
  2. Or a spear gun. Just not the same satisfaction though.
  3. Those Oqueteau boats are nice. They have a very good if not niche name. More popular on the continent than here but for what reason I don’t know. ive drooled loads over the large 975!!
  4. My fridge worked at the weekend, and now does not. The light is on when the door opens, the stat is turned up but no cold. No noises nothing. it’s a Waeco coolmatic rpd-0050e Any ideas?? (Except buy a new fridge(yet))!
  5. It was noted and put on straight away. He had just climbed out of the boat and got back in after some coming alongside practice.
  6. Sounds like an exciting day afloat Ian. It’s good to have a tester now and again just to practise the helm skills. Glad you got back ok and caught a fish or two!!
  7. Unlucky Dicky, I do hope your mate didn’t rub salt in the wound on the way back in? Id rather hope he is a nice sympathetic guy, like we are on here. No way would we dream of taking the piss out of a blank!! 🤞🏻
  8. My boat also has a manual tiller, and a throttle control in the deck area. Hope I never have to use it in anger though.
  9. Sorry Mike I can’t help with the tech stuff. But we’ll done for over coming the problem like a pro and making it back safe. 👍🏻
  10. I don’t use the app as I didn’t know there was one!
  11. Night time is best for sole. The rag worm bait needs to be hard on the bottom. So some lead shot just above the worm head is advisable. Small hooks too, sole have little gobs.
  12. I think Pete means he won’t play as he doesn’t understand how! Bit like me really. I can’t seem to find any tabs for transfers or subs on the phone! Can you screen shot and point me in the right direction?
  13. Yeah we didn’t catch any. The seagulls and swans put paid to that idea!
  14. I’m sure that if Ranalph Feins can do it in his shed with a hacksaw, you could do it in hospital Geoff! 💪🏻
  15. Well, you do trailer. So I suppose £20 extra makes sense, just incase you fancy a trip to black water where @JonC is king!
  16. I hope you took lots of photos Adam? If so it would be nice if you were to put up a project report incase anybody else reading is going to, or may have to tackle the same issue!
  17. Well for parking and trailer storage I’d say Badnam creek in Mercury yacht harbour. It’s on the Hamble river n the marina complex. Nice and safe. Just launch 2 hours or so before HW.
  18. Leo and I sneaked out for a few hours today. Ended up at west lepe bouy after in successfully fishing a small wreck just off calshot. The weather was a mixed bag of rain, wind, sun and more wind. Luckily it was north/northwesterly so the water was slight. Until the F’ing Gin palaces turned up at 20knts 30 yards from the boat. W⚓️‘s. Any way we managed 2 dogs and 2 bream. I took peeler crab and not one hound was interested. Leo had a nice double shot.. Then I had a dog, then Leo another small bream. The tide and weed were both fierce, which put the fish off. Still nice to blow some more cobwebs away, not sure I’ve got 2 many left.. Leo then took us for a quick blast home..
  19. Only if you’re planning on fishing the whole of the UK?? If not, just get one that includes your area. When I got mine it covered the south of England and the channel isles. More than I’ll ever need! Hows the transom rebuild coming along? I guess your done if your AF’ing the boat!!
  20. It’s always better to watch them than catch them. They make a mess.
  21. I have a full Garmin setup. 2x 8410 mfd ais 4k xhd radar. It’s all amazing at helping me blank!!
