  1. I know what you mean. Smiling to order can just make you (not you) look like a proper mong. If it ain’t real don’t do it ! Having said that, your fish does look happy on camera.
  2. Depends on the mark you want to fish. I’ll be taking squid, sand eel, mackerel and crab. Plaice will take long strips of squid as much as worm bait. If you don’t want the mess of rag, then a wrap or two of black lug.
  3. Saintly Fish

    Rope

15mm , approx 50m. £40 Ideal for mooring lines or anchor in shallow waters.
  4. Whilst hanging upside down too. Nice trick Jon.
  5. Top work @Josh. You do get into the fish. I must say that bad does look a fair bit bigger than 6lb. Great report well done.
  6. Was always planning on doing it, just when I was ready. Plus, if I don’t have it my Mrs won’t see her family because she won’t travel without me. And I can see it going down the roads of “no jab no travel”. I couldn’t care less personally, I’d rather holiday on the Hamble. But it’s not all about me!
  7. I ordered on and it arrived today. Blimey it’s big!
  8. 👆🏻Yes, just what I was thinking👆🏻
  9. To be able to bail on some thing Steve, you first have to commit to it. You never committed, so never blacked balled. You just got put on the naughty step.
  10. Now there is a bucket list fish!! 💪🏻
  11. Carry on with that attitude and you’ll be shown a black ball!
  12. Surely just a couple of 7” singles would be fine, no need to ruin an album!
  13. Hi Chris and welcome. Lovely little boat you have there. Is the tow vehicle a Mondeo ST ?
  14. The weekend of the boat meet also happens to be the same date as the round the island race. I recommend fishing marks are kept to the mid to north of the solent. Here is a link for info on the racing. http://www.roundtheisland.org.uk/web/code/php/main_c.php?map=rir21b&ui=rir5&style=std&override=&section=competitors&page=starttimes
  15. But I don’t go out of the solent very often Martin because it takes so bloody long to get there from the Hamble. I only really go 2-3 times a year in search of cod or tope.
  16. A great surprise session. Well done. Would love a blonde ray, never caught one.
  17. At least you know that not only you, but your boat can cope with the conditions.
