    Well yes, but it’s a start. And I think they really have good intentions. I agree that the desert is probably not the best place to hold a close race especially with all the dust. I will keep watching and as a fledgling sport I hope it improves.

    Ah but did you see the intro to the programme which explains about what they do. They all (the whole paddock) travel to their destinations on one ship which is also a research vessel. They really are doing it as carbon neutral as possible. Which is a hell of a lot less than the F1 teams.

    I think anywhere at these times needs to be booked. The amount of boat owners who are not going on holiday but staying on their boats for staycations is immense. The marinas round our way are fully booked pretty much all through the summer already.

    They turned up today. Only 3 dead, slightly crushed by the ice packaging. All really good sized crabs, between golf and tennis ball size.

    I have a Bosch multi tool but non of the blades are small enough to cut a 12mm line.

    That’s why I thought a dremel would do the trick. I don’t have one though and don’t want to go buy one if they don’t have a decent attachment small enough for the job.

    Just to add to that. Make sure your plotter overlays tracks on the screen. So if you get fogged out or it’s dark, you can navigate your way back without worry as much about hitting secured obstructions. If you didn’t hit anything on your way out, you won’t hit anything secured on your way back in.

    Ok so I want to cut a hole in my dash. It’s for a new switch but not a large one. I’m thinking a dremel will do the job? Ive had a quick look in b&q but could see (no glasses again) which attachment will do the job. The discs all looked too large. Do they do a mini router attachment? Or will any other tool do the job better? Recommendations please!

    I’m going to be fitting my new radar system soon. For the power supply, do I need to run a separate designated live for it, or can I piggy back off the power supply that feeds my two MFD’s?

    So what’s the ratio for chain of rope is 3-4 times depth?

    Like I said, the best operation is with 100% chain. Rode just doesn’t work whatever it is.
