Good report Tony. Sorry to hear the fish didn’t play. Just seemed to be one of those days. Either that or we are just all shit at fishing. Not surprised your mate felt ill if he hadn’t been eating throughout the day. A steady supply of energy is always needed. Maybe you should keep some ginger biscuits onboard for him next time, ginger is supposed to be good for seasickness. Also, don’t let him sit with his head down, not looking at the horizon will also make you feel ill in a bit of chop.

Good job Mr Dog came along to save your embarrassments once again. The wrasse though was a very good way to top off the afternoon! Still, a chance drop of a live peeler did steal the day, bringing in a very pissed off lady smoothound. She went to about 8-9lb, a much appreciated scrap .

Not trying to lay blame here as I don’t know your dogs, but why should another dog have to suffer the lead because your two dogs perform a pack attack on him. Maybe it’s training for your dogs that are needed to be more tolerant of others? My dog was never on the lead. I’d even walk him to the park off lead, but he was very well behaved.

That’s a shame. Do you have any pikey camps near by? Sounds like it could be a cross bread for rabbiting maybe? Whippets as a whole are generally smooth natured animals (well by my experience). But one bred for rabbiting will have an edge to it .
