  1. Yes but I’d not seen it on a sunny day. Now it does look a bit scratchy. Certainly the cloudiness has gone, but even that was because I moaned at him for not doing it properly first time round.
  2. Yes I get that. But he took me 5 boats down to a blue hull he’d polished a week ago and it was like brand new.
  3. Have you checked all the connections to the actual ram motor. Might be an intermittent connection if it stops in different places. That’s just a guess though, I’m sure you’ve checked connections!
  4. Well at a glance yes, but according to the guy who did the bow thruster repair, no. He showed me round and pointed out areas where there are small scratches I’d not noticed. And he wasn’t impressed that the deeper historic scratches on the hull were not more disguised. He reckons he used the wrong polish.
  5. Yep. Young lad who thought he could try to mug me off. Now he’s not even getting paid for the polishing.
  6. The switch is 25a rated, the radome is 7.5a. Not sure on the reflector but it boats very low power draw.
  7. Is it ok to have one double pole switch to turn on the radome and reflector at the same time(I don’t see them being used separately), or is two the best and done thing??
  8. After a decent bow thruster repair by a top bloke who takes pride in his work and reputation, I discover that the guy who did my polishing and deck caulk work is a nob head. Take a look at this photo. All the old caulk underneath was supposed to have been dug out and then replaced. Instead he’s just wiped new over the top of old. He didn’t even mask it up!! Good job I haven’t paid him yet and good job I noticed before he did my teak work. Needless to say, he’s been fucked off!
  9. Yeah I am, it’s a relief and well worth the extra expense.
  10. Yeah but I don’t really want to be cutting more holes or extending ones already there. But these are small and discreet, hmmnnn more food for thought.
  11. Not sure about the legs but the Yanmar engines are known to be pretty bullet proof. I have a 6lpa and it’s quite easy to work on.
  12. Not sure the wife will appreciate me screwing that to the coffee table though. Even if I do explain how good it is!
  13. I need a couple of switches on the dash for when I fit my radome and active reflector. I e bought a couple of switches from eBay because they were small and I don’t want anything to bulky. But they arrived and don’t seem robust enough. What make of switches would be recommended?
  14. Agree with that. I’m hoping next weekend will be the day.
  15. Without photos non of these reports count Jon. You do realise that right??
