A good bream on a small rod certainly does give a good account of itself. Fishing the solent, most fish are relatively small. So when a decent fish bites it’s always a pleasure. I’m not into eating fish too much so for me anything that fights back is what I’m after. A large conger, or a decent hound or tope. Rays are nice but don’t fight too much.

Leo’s been using my iPad for home schooling, but it’s not great for this type of work. I’d like to get him a lap top, I’m not great at knowing what’s what with processors etc. So, any hints on what the thing should have inside would be great fully received. thanks

By the way, the dorado is probably my top of the list fish to catch. The bulls look amazing with their big heads.

@JDP I’m not trying to put you off showing the fishing photos jon so please don’t think that. It’s nice to see different species. And what you say is correct. I would say the same though if somebody put a photo up of a whiting covered in blood too. People love fishing as we all do, fish get caught and why not. But, like Dicky says, at least wash the blood away and present the fish in a respectable way.

I know you say that these fish are common in your area and taste really nice. I also understand that it’s your daughters job and she works real hard. However, I’m not keen on seeing photos of such majestic fish dead and being shown off. I don’t mind C&R pics, just don’t see the need for the rest.

I know for sure this has been covered by us before on the dark side. But not here. And tbh I’ve forgotten the reasons so I’ll ask again. what's the problem with priming and anti fouling a transducer ? and I mean using the same stuff you’d put on the hull. ive tried transducer specific stuff before and it just doesn’t work. So why not the real stuff?

SNOW. It Snowed Last Night 8:00 am: I made a snowman. 8:10 - A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman. 8:15 - So, I made a snow woman. 8:17 - My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere. 8:20 - The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snow men instead. 8:22 - The transgender man..women...person asked why I didn't just make one snow person with detachable parts. 8:25 - The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with. 8:28 - I was being called a racist because the snow couple is white. 8:31 - The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be covered up. 8:40 - The Police arrived saying someone had been offended. 8:42 - The feminist neighbour complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role. 8:43 - The council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction. 8:45 - TV news crews from BBC, ITV, CNN and SKY showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I replied "Snowballs" and am now called a sexist. 9:00 - I was on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather. 9:10 - I was asked if I have any accomplices. My children were taken by social services. 9:29 - Far left protesters offended by everything marched down the street demanding for me to be arrested. By Noon it had all melted Moral: There is no moral to this story. It is exactly what we have become.....all caused by a world full of Snowflakes. God help us!

Thanks Geoff, in the next day or two the Grp is going to be ground back to investigate the extent of the damage. I did have a nice chat this morning from a company called osmatec in Hamble. The owner who has many many years of bow thruster tunnel installation and repairs recons that it not going to be a 5-6 month dry time. He reckons with an inta red heater on it a day a week then around a month to sort out. Fingers crossed. He also said that putting her inside isn’t worth the cost because the storage would cost more than the repair itself.

I think my good mate @GPSguru is probably Bob on. There is spider grazing on the port side of the super structure. I’ve known about this since purchase. It’s nothing severe just a bit of cosmetic damage. It’s quite possible that the crack on the tube happened then and wasn’t repaired very well. And when I say crack I’m mean it is a hair line crack not a gapping hole. And it’s only about 2cm in length. But over time and pressure the water has entered.

Dunno yet 🤷🏻‍♂️
