  1. This is a picture of when my boat was delivered. The prop anode can be clearly seen but there is no shaft anode.
  2. Luke your starting to sound like another member we used to have. If you leave home and go straight to the beach or boat without meeting anybody, where’s the harm? How about all those joggers who run past all the walkers and cough or shoot snot out there noses? that’s a far bigger risk IMO. Good job I’m a light weight and it’s too cold to sit on a beach at the moment. And good job the boats out the water.
  3. You can just imagine @headlight doing his nut right now!!
  4. That’s exactly why you fit right in here.
  5. You’ve a good but slightly twisted sense of humour!
  6. Twice in 2 days?? Slow down, go have a brew dog.
  7. Your in trouble!! 10/10 for getting it the right way up though..
  8. You can tell a lot about a person from this!!
  9. The transit I have just bought was imported all the way from the factory in Turkey. Which is mad really because 5-6 years ago they were made 2 miles from my house!
  10. I will remove the rudder anode as I’m replacing it and see if there is any paint underneath it. If yes I will scrape it back.
  11. I don’t get what you mean. I have shore power on 100% of the time when at the pontoon.
  12. A young family moved into a house next door to an empty plot. One day, a gang of building workers turned up to start building on the plot. The young family's 5-year-old daughter naturally took an interest in all the activity going on next door and started talking with the workers. She hung around and eventually the builders, all with hearts of gold, more or less adopted the little girl as a sort of project mascot. They chatted with her, let her sit with them while they had tea and lunch breaks, and gave her little jobs to do here and there to make her feel important. They even gave the child her very own hard hat and gloves, which thrilled her immensely. At the end of the first week, the smiling builders presented her with a pay envelope - containing two pounds in 10p coins. The little girl took her 'pay' home to her mother who suggested that they take the money to the bank the next day to open a savings account. At the bank, the female cashier was tickled pink listening to the little girl telling her about her 'work' on the building site and the fact she had a 'pay packet'. 'You must have worked very hard to earn all this', said the cashier. The little girl proudly replied, 'Yes, I worked every day with Steve and Wayne and Mike. We're building a big house.' 'My goodness gracious,' said the cashier, 'And will you be working on the house again next week?' The child thought for a moment. Then she said seriously: 'I think so. Provided those wankers at Jewsons deliver the fucking bricks.
  13. Don’t forget though @JonCand @Geoff that these anodes are only 10 months old.
  14. We haven’t left the topic? We can drift far better than this!! I use Hempel hard racing with some additional copper and zinc oxide powder mixed in.
  15. @JDP That pop off camper top is pretty neat.
  16. Lets let the morons kid about @JonC, whilst we keep it real. From memory (which isnt great) my prop is bronze. Ive never coated it and this will be the first time ive cleaned it. The anode is roughly 11 months old, dont know why its in good shape, it will be changed though regardless. What would you coat a prop in anyway?? I know the angry SA welsh guy used to talk about white grease??
  17. Isn’t that the bit that matters most?
  18. Well @Andy135 this one went down like a lead balloon.
  19. Luck that you had a new rudder and shaft anode in your shed.
