    Ive not managed to transfer any data yet. It’s on my now growing list of things to do. I did pop the card into the pc but couldn’t read it. My plotter takes a mini sd not a standard so I need to transfer the data first.

    Well yes I agree with you on the no join situation. I just wondered if there was a reliable joint connection. Obviously not. It’s a pain though because I only have to move the aerial about 40cm to the left.

    So my radome is on order and I’ve got a cheap £0 strut for it. But to fit it I need to move my vhf Ariel, otherwise the radome will be off centre. Now this will mean I’d need to unthread the cable all the way back from the radio, or cut the cable and re join it. What’s preferable? I’m guessing the re run the whole cable, but any one for another idea?

    @Mark this is probably a bit like trying to find genuine rocking horse shit. Not very likely that somebody is going to just have one knocking around. Although I’d be happy for you if somebody proves me incorrect. In the mean time, have you searched the likes of eBay etc for a generic aftermarket retro fit one? Plenty around.

    @Maverick is probably going to be your best source of info on this one. I’ve been once to Alderney with the PBSBAC boys and was due to go again last year, which obviously didn’t happen. It’s the first time I’d fished that way, ie drifting wrecks and banks. Needless to say I wasn’t very good at it and lost more sidewinders than I care to remember. But I did catch the boats biggest pollock.

    How imperative is it to get 100% of the old oil out? Mine holds 10.5lt but I have only been able to pump out 7.5-8.

    It’s a black screw on type, I have a Tupperware bowl to put under it and the strap wrench.
