    I have heard of these but never used one. I don’t really see how they work. Obviously they sit in the water and “fan” out catching water. But if the tide is moving the boat at a certain speed and the drogue is moving in the same direction as the tide, what slows things down? Or am I being thick? (Most probably)

    Me?? Never. Jed suggested size wasn’t everything..... which leans him to the smaller side of life. And I’m just emphasising that if not done correctly the install could be cost. If he’s asking for advice then he’s obviously not 100% confident in doing the job himself. Paying a pro gives come back if a mistake is made. Im sure Jed doesn’t feel picked on, calm down dear. 💋

    Ok so, we have had dog food, slugs and dog fish strips suggested as experimental baits. This is the thread for anyone to report what they have experimented with and what results they’ve had.

    Might have to kill one and cut into strips to see if anything takes it!! If the common skate like them then why not our rays !! 🤔
