    @Andy135 and I take our two young sons who are roughly the same age with us and use them as an excuse as to why we don’t catch fish. The volume is ear splitting at times.

    Two strokes I believe are lighter though, so the fuel saving could be offset by weight saving. (I may however have made this up)

    If youve not seen them look at the starfisher range. They are made in the same factory as the rodman. I own an ST840 with single 260hp Yanmar on shaft drive. It cruises nicely at 18 knots and tops out at 24knots with a clean bum. I take mine out single handed regularly and with my 9 year old son. Good quality double skinned boats. Mine weighs 4 ton and handles the sea brilliantly. They are not as common as the rodman (not that rodman’s are common), but are found cheaper because they are less known. Basically the same hull.

    Hi Terry, glad you finally managed to enter the site. I’m out of Hamble and fish the desolate solent. I’m not a rodman owner but I do own a starfisher 840 which is built in the same factory. I did look at a rodman 810 in Gosport before buying my starfisher, real nice boats. Enjoy the site and make yourself at home. #sneakypeaker

    The rope should NEVER go anywhere near the prop. That would only happen if you don’t motor off at enough angle to the rope.
