  1. Ok fair enough. I’m sure somebody with more trailer experience than me (that’s not hard) will be along soon to offer a method of boat removal.
  2. Can you not Jack the trailer up and block it off whilst repairs are done ?

How was the fog ? Andy and I were out on the solent and the return was probably 80 yards visibility at best

Top job on the cod Josh. What did it go to ? I reckon around 8lb? thanks for sharing the day !
  6. 🤣 yeah tbf it does look a bit small in the net, but it sure was a weighty thing.
  7. Just a couple more shots of the skipper in action
  8. Many thanks for the day out Andy. As always, good value for money. Next time though anchor where I said the cod hang out!👍🏻 It was an eerie return journey, just as we left the clean vicinity of the Southampton air, the thick soup like fog of old Portsmouth clung to the water like shit to a blanket.
  9. So Andy was getting all despondent that I was out fishing him. His face had dropped , so I did the only thing a mate could do... I let him reel in this beast. 22lb allegedly .
  10. I’m allowing Andy to catch the bait.
  11. I’m in awe of Andy. Not only is he the forums dogfish master, he can even get them to come to the boat by the tail..
  12. Not at your age, it’s nothing for a spring 🐣 like me however. Been awake for ages with excitement. See you in a bit.
  13. No it’s not Steve. The fact that we are where we are for just a small while is a priceless gift all on its own. You wouldn’t understand!
  14. Apparently this is a latest scam, don’t know if it’s true but beware anyway. Straight from the City of London Police fraud team - Extremely sophisticated scam going about this week, involving all banks. You get a message saying a payment hasn’t been taken e.g O2, Vodafone, 3, Giff Gaff or EE and to click here. As soon as you touch it your money is gone. They already have all your details and it’s the most advance scam the bank has ever seen. Pass this on to everyone please. This is straight from work this morning - the banks are being inundated with calls - thousands flying out of peoples accounts! Spread the word to your family and friends!” Be vigilant !!!! As confirmed by Martin Lewis this morning!
  15. Nice catch Steve ! 👍🏻
  16. Geoff, I’m definitely a 50/50 man when it comes to boats. In the summer there is nothing better than day or weekend trips away on the boat with family and/or friends. If the opportunity for a dangle comes up I’ll take it, if not a pleasant cruise is just as nice. Just being on the boat is a whole new world . Ok so I’m called the marina queen and probably deservedly so in most instances, but only because I spend a lot of time in marinas. Not necessarily my home one though. We don’t really have the areas or type of boat that a weekend at anchor can be realistic. So visiting different ports and pubs is the way we go. If the weathers too bad to go out, then we spend all weekend at our home berth and fish from the pontoon or mess around on the tender. Or if it’s raining, just snuggle in the saloon and watch tv or read a book whilst the rain runs down the windows. Fishing with the lads is also a big part of my life too. Most of the boys only days are spent in the colder months, but an early summer start for tope etc is always on the cards !
