  1. I thought this was a joke about revenge on a cheating wife!! How disappointing. 🤣
  2. Ok just looked them up, they are the charcoal sachets that you shake and agitate to get them warm. Ive had these before and they are useless as don't get hot enough.
  3. I take it they are a heated glove? If so, then that's an issue as I need to keep taking them off to bait up. So not much more use than a pocket hand warmer.
  4. Not sure what reviews you're reading steve, but the ones I've read were positive. It has 4 heat settings, but setting one is enough to keep my mits warm. Plus they heat up within 10 seconds, so will only need them on for a while then turn them off, then on then off....... you get the idea!
  5. I purchased this warmer, it's electric and splits into two warmers or can be used as one large one in a bag. OCOOPA Hand Warmers Rechargeable 2 Pack, Magnetic Electric Handwarmer, 16 Hrs Warmth 4 Levels Heat Up to 145℉, USB-C Portable Charger 10000mAh, Raynauds, Golf, Tech Gifts for Men, Union UT2s(MagTwins) https://amzn.eu/d/aaLZYGm
  6. I suffer from Reynons syndrome which is extreme poor blood circulation to the extremities when it's cold. My fingers turn white and numb. It's painful so preventing is better ! Movement doesn't help, made worse when continuously handling frozen baits.
  7. Thanks @jonnyswamp, I did actually find one or two after I posted this. Just need to remove mine and measure. Do you know if there is a difference in quality?
  8. Hi Nick, not everybody uses Facebook mate. So if you could put your own report up it'd be appreciated.
  9. I noticed yesterday that my bow roller wheel doesn't roll and the side wall has a big chip outbid it. So it needs replacing. Is it possible to buy just the nylon roller and where's the best place to get one?
  10. Yeah bullying is no fun when the victim fights back. Soon loses its appeal.
  11. Surprised that that survived. You'd have thought another car would have got wrapped in it and snapped the line off.
  12. I won't tell him that bit for 23 days if that's ok!!
  13. Yeah Leo's teachers praised him for his control, by that they mean he did what he had to, and no more. Left the other kid in tears!!
  14. Shag Mary?? Really Ian, he's 11 ffs!!! Shame on you! No, he's sorted out a bully who's been giving him grief. Name calling and taunting etc... Because Leo rocks his own style, he is called mop head and Lego head. Today it got physical and Leo had had enough.
  15. Maybe in the future it's something I'll mention to him. But today, he wouldn't have swapped school for fishing!!
  16. So I've been watching the weather all week and a NE breeze was forecast for today. Stronger than earlier in the week but at 12-24mph it was still doable on the Solent. I was expecting fog for the first couple of hours, but there was none. My chosen mark was only a 20 min steam so anchor was down by 9am. Low water was 11.30am. Plan was to fish down, over slack then 2 hrs up. Cod was hopeful as two decent ones had been caught at the same numbers on Wednesday. No cod showed, no bass, no pout, no whiting and no doggies appeared. Just a constant supply of strap conger. For those that have never seen one, here are some pics to show you just how different they can look.... I had a misfortunate moment (like @GPSguru), I'm mentioning in now to save @JonC the effort. After launching my uptide rod and setting it in the holder, I paid attention to a down tide rod. 10 mins later looked at the reel on the uptide rod and realised I'd made a boo-boo. Yep, I left the clutch off and 3-400 yards of 20lb night crystal unwound itself. So I built up a sweat reeling it all back in. After the effort, there was a fish on atleast. Can you guess what it was..?? No..?? Ok I'll tell you.... a strap conger 🙄 Then the wind picked up power and with a wind over tide situation the swell started to build, I sat it out for a couple more hours. Then at 2.15pm I decided to cautiously go upfront and bring in the anchor and go home. THE END.
  17. Do you have one? Have you any experience of them?
  18. Ok, so it's starting to get cold and we don't like cold fingers whilst fishing. So, apart from putting your hands down your pants to keep warm, what hand warmers do you use and which ones actually work. Ive tried charcoal and they just go out, I've tried the sachets that you shake to get them warm, but I may as well just put my hands down my pants!
  19. But that's just not true. I know Ian is a seasoned pro and that anybody can have an off day!!
  20. That's shocking. I don't understand why you would assume we would take the piss!!
