No no, it's a fail safe. For example I only have one. If it goes faulty I have to dismantle with no engine. If you have two then you turn one on and turn one off for service whilst engine still being useable (does that make sense?)

I'm hoping it's the shaft slipping in the coupling. ATF was a bit low so topped up, but made no difference. Mechanic in our marina reckons ATF oil pump may be faulty. Not sure what difference that'd make though??

No propulsion (or lack of). Engine revs but no real drive. Some vibration heard tu.
