Ok, so Leo and I gave it another go today. Left Hamble at 07.45 and arrived 3 miles south of the needles around 09.10. Found our spot, dropped the anchor in anticipation, with positivity and excitement. Nothing. One conger to 12lb and 7 dogs. £150 in diesel burnt . But on the plus side, it was a gorgeous day (once the swell settled at around 10.30am).
The crew grabbed an hours shut eye en route
