  1. Well done @mike farrants. Id love to get a red band fish, they look pretty cool.
  2. When (if ever) we come up to fish on Janie, I look forward to a practical demonstration of your manual navigation skills and log keeping.
  3. Wrecking is something I don't do here as it's such an F'ing long way to get to them. Maybe there is a trip swap here somewhere. Bream for wrecking.
  4. Me too, never used or even had a paper chart. I could however find my way back in the dark from the areas I fish. Anywhere outside of that area I'd struggle like mad and would have to either drop anchor and wait for daylight or call for help. It's shameful I know, but having the spare time (and spare brain cells) to learn is just something I don't have.
  5. @KennyPowers did @JonC wow you with his newly installed and mastered Garmin unit ??
  6. Nice one Ian. Beautiful conditions, good fishing (if not amazing), good company and angled photos that make your neck ache, what more could one ask for? 👍🏻
  7. Nice morning out mate. Bet it felt good to be back on JG!! A couple of bream to boot. No plaice or dogs today then?? what did you have on your pizza?
  8. @KennyPowers nice to see you back with us! Im sure @JonC allowed you to out fish him, it's the sign of a good captain don't you know! I do it all the time. We look forward to the pics Jon!!
  9. The weather today was perfect by the look of things. You caught fish and had a comedy moment. Sounds like a good day out to me! 👍🏻
  10. Yeah you're a bit ltr on this one, but thanks anyway!
  11. He has to be at home for 2 weeks without leaving the property. But that's not a bad thing, he really does need to laze around and put on weight.
  12. Cooper arrived home yesterday. Skin and bones, also with a bit of kennel cough which needs sorting asap. But he seems very comfy already. Leo is over the moon with him, as we all are!
  13. You'll probably need to have it on tick over for 20 mins before you slip the mooring.
  14. Will look forward to that report then. Be good to see how the pensioner can handle a 12hr jigging sesh. I'm land locked all weekend with the new dog who arriving in 25 mins. 🤣
  15. Same theory for boat casting and uptiding! Get the bait as far away from the "noise zone" as possible.
  16. Yeah, that will only map out the area you cruise over though not the surrounding too. You'd be better off maybe dropping @GPSguru a PM. I can supply stuff cheap but my tech knowledge is nothing compared to his!
  17. You should no/know better! 🤷🏻‍♂️
