  1. Glad you enjoyed your day steve, it was a long time coming. Great that Mikey enjoyed his birthday and we managed to get him on a decent fish. Next time the adults must try harder (🤔). Here are a few shots from the day.
  2. Looks like the kind of boat @mike farrantscould do with. Should he ever buy another. very nice.!
  3. Welcome to the outlaws @Herbs73. We hope you enjoy the site and join in with the laughs and occasional fishing report. There is not much going on atm but with summer on the way the forum should get a lot busier. We have an admin from Essex but he (luckily for you) is on the Bradwell side. Maybe if you run to the beach you could wave at each other!! 👍🏻
  4. Rather than eyeing up the local birds, any danger you can concentrate some of that energy into find a date for the OO's annual meet up??
  5. Nice monsters there! Not jealous at all.
  6. The red funnel passenger ferry always used to be a hydrofoil. It's still referred to as so by many, but you're correct Pete it is now a cat. https://www.wightpedia.org.uk/w/Red_Funnel_Hydrofoil_Passenger_Ferries
  7. There will be nothing left to book if @Andy135 doesn't pull his finger out.
  8. Nice one Nick, not much fish but a record holder instead. Gotta be pleased with that?? When do you get it confirmed? Hope you give the OO's a name drop when you collect your OBE!!
  9. We had this in our garden last year..
  10. BK rough somebody up...... no, surely not 🤔
  11. I think he must have lost interest when WE all F'd off!!
  12. Here's another rather extravagant take on the dangler.
  13. Yeah, it's never worked for me either. But the principle is sound!
  14. Well yeah, I suppose this method would prevent a lot of fish (even lsd's) from getting gut hooked. I was taught a similar method for cod fishing from the beach with live bait. Tie a small baited hook to the bend of a larger hook. Then a small fish takes the small hook and is trapped, then the big fish comes along and eats the small fish and the large hook. it works well in the respect that a small bait can be cast a long way, then a big fish can be had.
  15. That looks a bit like you in your disco get up Jon!
  16. I'm glad you laughed, I was just pondering🤔 should I add a smiley to show Mike I don't really hate him!!?
