I spoke to Suzuki and they told me that using the flushing port for 10 minutes flushes the entire system as there is a small bypass so the head gets flushed even when the thermostat is closed.

Just joined up and thought I would post up some pics of my boat. She's a 2008 Beneteau 650 which I bought in 2015. Due back in the water next weekend.
Had a lot of fun with the family fishing and just messing about on the water.

Thanks for your answers guys. Yes, am OK with stripping carbs and stuff like that so will replace the sparkplug first and then will see how it behaves. It's a nice engine with super low hours and its annoying to see it not working as it should. Its been stored correctly. 2010 and up Yamahas can be stored on each side so small risk to get into a problems.

If you're handy on the tools, just strip the carb and clean it. Least then you know it's clean. I will hasten to add tho, from your description, it's unlikely to be a dirty carb. Usually, when left, it's the pilot jet that gets blocked, not the main.
I would be more inclined to think spark plug failing or filter blockage. If stored incorrectly, these will leak oil out which may possibly have got in filter.
Once carbs have started to get fuel residue build up, I have yet to find an additive that shifts it. Far better to use an additive to stop it happening to start with

Recently I bought a 6 and 8 oz cannon ball style mould with 50 swivels and 50 loops. £22 on ebay. The mould does the job perfect. I've never bought a single lead, aleays making them because I find it super relaxing and reminds me making keads with my dad when I was a kid.

Yeah, it sounds absolutely right mate. So, next time I will be doing that in a proper way.

Not generally a good idea to tie off to the side only as it puts a lot of strain on a cleat that wasn't intended to be used that way. The cleat would be taking the full force of the tide broadside to the boat.

I'm not totally newby to conger fishing. I've never cought one myself but was out with people that targeted them and even helped to land them. I have a decent rods and reels with proper line and 100lb rigs with steel traces. The thing is that I wasn't interested in targeting this kind of species before but now its my goal and it MUST be just me and my boat - not mates etc... Hope you are getting what I mean 😂 Anchoring Harry's would be tricky, its close to the main ship road to Swanage, Weymouth, Portland so it's always busy as hell.

Make a chum bag and drop some scent over the side. This will bring in other species too!

The methods for conger are totally different from bream. Prob worth anchoring Harry's and dropping half a mackerel on a conger trace just to see what's at home 👍
