How high were the winds in that case? Curious to know at what windspeed the dry stack pros start getting twitchy.
sorry but i can't remember , it was a few years ago, is the forecast wind direction bad for the racking .

This is a good suggestion. @Scotch_Egg2012's boat is on the top row of the same rack as mine in our marina. Scott, do you know if the dry stack team move the top boats off? Guessing they probably don't have enough ground racks for all the boats on both top rows though.
it's only happened once but they made new cradles to take the boats that could not be put lower in the rack

when fishing (at anchor) cut the bag of and sporadically throw one in front of the boat
correct 😄

my method is to blend old baits and fish bits from the freezer(thaw first) to a fine paste, then fill zip lock bags 6''x4'', whilst filling add a few stones to ensure it sinks and stays put on the bottom. re-freeze until needed. when fishing (at anchor) cut the bag of and sporadically throw one in front of the boat so it settles under the stern where the baits will be. please note this is a shallow water method. just my two pennyworth.

My best was a bus....
Basically I was fishing a road bridge called the lougher bridge for flounder.
I put my rod down and there was a bus waiting behind me in a queue of traffic. Bus driver opened the door to ask has I had much etc.... in this exchange I had somehow managed to get my rig stuck in the door. I didn’t know until he drove off and promptly emptied my reel....
just as well it got away, can't imagine the size of frying pan you would need for a bus.
