Nothing to dread about fibreglass work - just common sense really. Just ensure that every thing is clean, dry and well abraided. Bonding in and glassing over a new stringer should be no problem, or do you mean to replace the engine bearers? If you do remove the engine it will give you the chance to properly inspect the bearers and check out and clean the bilge which is bound to be a bit mucky under the engine. It is also worth flow coating your new glasswork and any other areas that need it. Getting the engine re-aligned is another matter, bur out should not be too difficult. Good luck. Geoff.

i will be ok on the fibre glass and prep work its going to be realgining the engine back up do you think oak bearers are ok at the moment the shaft is bolted direct to the gearbox would i be better of fitting one of those r and d cushion spacers  our go for the same set up many thanks daio

    Hey folks,

I'am from austria and found this website during my search for a special boat i want to buy. Unfortunatley it is kinda old and the company producing it went out of business.
Primarly I'am here to find this type of boat with some of your help i may be successfull,

So thank you very much for any help in advance!

hiya butt welcome to the forum

  4. well got over to the boat this morning  after that bad weather yesterday and done a test on how the ballast was performing  then took the boat over to the pontoon  and removed all the ballast from the  middle part of it  and the bow added all the weight up and it was over 700 pound  there is still about 200 pound on the stern did the test again then side to side and there was hardly any difference in movement the boat has raised out of the water a good 2 inches  the speed was about the same so am i better of leaving it out to see if its better on fuel

800kg? That sounds like a lot, I would expect maybe 100kg or so.

Not sure. I've seen all the small engines known brands without the cowlings and they are totally different. Blocks, heads, carbs and all bits and bobs are different.

And yes, that's interesting that Yamaha can be stored in any way apart from upside down 🤪

hiya mate the engine might not like that new fuel thats out i always put the expensive one in its only a couple of pence more good luck budd keep us updated
