Having spent the last weekends doing boat and trailer jobs, we made our first 2024 trip into the Solent.  Aiming to launch from Elmore I noticed the height restricting barrier in time and reversed back onto the road and onto GAFIRS.
Weather was damp, it was a Bank Holiday after all but the wind was light and the fish came out to play with hounds and rays to 12lb all on hardback crab.  Only saw one other boat fishing and a pleasant lack of yachties

For me. 
My friends however got a couple to count for the species competition, both dabs along with codling and whiting. 
A few more fish being caught and hopefully we will get a few more soon. 
No pics so never happened. 

Amazing day out of Yarmouth, an early start but well worth it. My pb 54cm !! 

I got a lovely invitation to go out with my friends tomorrow as the weather is calming down and hopefully we will be using soft plastic lures for the first time this year, I might even be out Tuesday to Thursday on the kayak too, and as I am economically inactive that's classed as a weekend too.

Well….the weather played ball but the Bream marks were stuffed with Bass 

My windlass is mounted on starboard side on deck but suffers same issue…. It sticks to windless and doesn’t fall nicely so I have to hand feed it into the locker. 
 
if your magic device works, will you be offering early bird discounts? 😁😁

I got a nice discount from the supplier, fair dos they have been great… but I think they’ll be glad to not see for a few days as I think I’m on their speed dial 😂

it will be cut to suit and yes, any sharp edges will be softened

Hi guys, I made it back and the delay was because I had no notifications of your responses which are most welcome.  It hasn't helped that the weather's been so poor and I'm working 6 days a week.  I had my first proper fishing trip recently and made a short very amateur video here:  The camera wasn't set up properly but will be better next time.
 

Welcome aboard. Fishing from a (all be it well prepared by the looks) jetski would sound like you are certainly well qualified (nutty enough) to join the rest of us on here. Nice looking rig. Geoff.

Caught today 7lb 7oz Silver Bar on Ragworm, gut hooked unfortunately and faffed and about too much unhooking it to put it back which was a shame, will be eaten in honour🎣

Weather looked good all weekend - but my fishing buddy was in Benidorm until Saturday night - so plans were made for Sunday - however the wind was freshening and turning more easterly - so not ideal. 
After a failed attempt to get mackerel in Portlands entrance we opted to seek shelter under White Nothe - East of the Bay. New ground for us - but worth a go!
It was slow - i only managed 4 doggies, Tim managed doggies, Smoothounds, Bream and a thornie, his son had dogs and a blonde ray. wind was fresh all day - but the sun was out and we were afloat - so all good!

looks like a stress fracture on the prop blade…. 
 
Plan is to order 2 new props and get the old 2 refurbished so that can keep as spares…
