An elderly man rear-ended a guy driving an expensive European sports car. Enraged, the guy hops out and confronts the old man. He yells,
"Look what you did to my car! You're going to give me $10,000 right now or I'm going to beat you to a pulp!"
"Oh my…" the old man said nervously. "I don't have that kind of money. Let me call my son.” he said with hope. “He trains dolphins and he will know what to do."
"Dolphins!" the other driver huffed, while rolling his eyes.
The old man pulled out his phone, dialed his son, and just as his son answered, the irate man snatched the phone away from the old man.
"So, YOU'RE a dolphin trainer, huh?” The irate man yelled, “Well, your old man here just rear-ended my car and I need TEN GRAND right now, or I'm going to beat you AND your old man to a pulp!"
"I'll be there in 10 minutes." says the voice calmly on the other end.
Exactly 10 minutes later, a Jeep pulls up and a guy hops out and proceeds to pulverize the bully, leaving him in a heap on the side of the road. When he finished, he walked over to his father and said,
"For the last time dad, I train Seals… Navy Seals. NOT dolphins!”

Yep! Was doing my advanced power boat instructor course.

Suddenly the woman became a little uncomfortable and blushed.. "I’m Sorry." She said, “I shouldn't really be discussing all of this with you. I don’t even know your name."

A lot of the old stuff will run til its just too worn out to run any more at which point its replace time. Other stuff can be considerably cheaper to fix than an injected 4 stroke. Not everyone gets enough use out of their boats to offset the costs of a new 4 stroke over a less economical 2 stroke. These are more likely to get used on small river craft than heading out to sea. The 7.5HP could make a useful aux engine though as pretty light. The 4hp motors will sell as that is the lower bracket of river licensing, 5HP and up costs considerably more.....

Yes mate, people still use them, and still better value than the chinese cr*p on the market. Obviously they are not worth what they were 20 years ago, but still have value.

Bought 3 outboards as projects a little while back. Had a look to see whats what.......

Getting there, harley is now 6 vids in and almost finished!
I ended up with Corel Video Studio. The adobe editor was very hard work to get a video to upload. The trial version of Corel worked flawlessly, far more functions that I wish to use right now and £60 for life once the trial ended.
Should be doing a vid on an outboard tomorrow, as awaiting parts for the harley.....
Want to get through all this stuff so can crack on with the boat.
 

Post man has been bringing a few presents for the boat…. One little extra for myself too..
 

Just need to wait until spring f to get out there and get on the cod/bass/pollack/wrasse… I’ll be looking to run some dedicated SPJ trips in the spring, 10hr trips and fish a number of marks (inshore and offshore) depending on the state of tide… any jiggers interested in a day out drop a line 🙂

Which Jon, New year was so yesterday, easter sales are on now but Im waiting until after easter to buy my eggs.
