  1. 😲 Most 21's have 225's, it takes a lot of power to push a deep Vee onto the plane and keep it there, but I can understand that it would work with a 115, however, the engine will be working very hard and the hole shot is probably very slow.
  2. Dunno, but a 21ft Pirate centre consol is a really nice boat, deep Vee, and excellent sea keeping ability. It would need at least a 225, probably a 250..........
  3. He has got a raider, so I guess a pirate my be ok
  4. Nah, that is just the Welsh going on holiday. They have to take all the furniture and household goods with them coz it won't be there when they return 🀣
  5. No, he meant Dito............. Referring to the urban dictionary, @Saintly Fish is on the money ...........
  6. Most of it is just hot air and in ten years time they will be saying all the same stuff again ............... words are cheap
  7. They will start on commercial shipping first as that will be where most gains can be made. The new Brittany ferries are using hydrogen fuel cell technology.

    Ahoy!

    Welcome Adam πŸ‘
  9. I used the word poking in a literal sense as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary, i.e. to poke with a big stick. For you to use this word as a colloquialism of low moral standard is surprising considering your position as a site administrator. Obviously, if you were to continue to allow your extremely low moral standards to be reflected in your work here, then I would consider your position to be untenable. Take that as a polite way of calling you a complete tosser 🀣
  10. Not as bad as trying to wind you up, it like poking a dead body with a stick and looking for a reaction 🀣
  11. Indeed, well spotted by the numpty from Essex, I bet you had to ask the children if it was correct 🀣🀣🀣
  12. A years worth, cant remember the last time I hoovered it out 😠
  13. We don't do dry humour. In fact in my life there is no humour at at all tonight as I am hoovering out the car ready for its annual service. I don't do hoovering cars and it is a years worth of crap ! However, Volvo’s scrub up well and it looks very nice for a 3 year old car. Volvo have kindly agreed to extend the warranty for a further 2 years at Β£300 per year, which is a steal. #badtemperedbastidtonightπŸ™„
  14. Wear ? The only thing you are likely to wear is your usual grass skirt and false tits….. again.πŸ™„πŸ€£πŸ€£ The Essex folk don't have a good grasp of the English language πŸ™„
  15. Yes, I had to see friends who live at Dittisham, we then came back through Dartmouth and took the ferry across to Kingswear so that we could get some shopping at the M&S Foodhall in the Willows (Torquay) on the way home. I was surprised how quiet Dartmouth was given the time of year. Before we got the ferry, I drove over to Warfleet and the castle, a very pleasant trip along there looking down at the estuary.
  16. Small world................ I went through Dartmouth the afternoon, so I probably saw you without realising it............
  17. Well done Dicky, a very decent Ray and a strap is good dangling in my book πŸ‘
  18. I am just using. E10 and quickstor on the advice of Barrus. I use my boat all winter as we tend to get at least a couple fishable days per month, but as you know winter weather is completely unpredictable and the quickstor will give me some comfort that the E10 wont separate.
  19. Yeah, its fun getting old πŸ™„β€¦.. not 🀣
  20. A black cat ? …….. I expect @JonC has seen a blacker cat πŸ™„ 🀣🀣🀣
  21. The guys at Minn Kota have estimated that I would get about 5 hours run time from a single 12v 110Ah battery, probably 7 hours using it on spot lock. I am of the same opinion as you that higher voltage and more thrust is a better solution. I am hoping to stack 2 85Ah batteries in the mounting frame and that would allow me to use the 24v 80lb thrust motor. As I don't run an Aux because I already have the max transom weight (150 Merc) the Minn Kota would double up as an Aux. 5knts for 7 hours or so would be perfect. I would like to go lithium, but decent Li batteries of that capacity (or greater) are well over Β£1000 each ! Hmm , decisions, decisions … πŸ™„πŸ€£
  22. I think I would have returned it at that weight.
  23. Tell me more Dave, Was this your boat, or if another boat what was the size and estimated weight ? What thrust was the minn kota ? If it was 12v then it would be 55lb, if it was 24v then 80lb (or more) thrust). minn kota are telling me that 55lb will be fine for my boat, but I really need some confidence that is the case. The main reason for going down this route is to enhance my SPJ fishing on the wrecks, by being in the kill zone for much longer and being able to kick it in any direction in 2m increments. However, it will take me a while to sort out as the mounting is much more complex on a RIB compared to a hard boat. I saw Matt yesterday on the inshore wrecks, which was a pleasant surprise.
