  1. Your chances of living with somebody in the same household and not contracting the virus is pretty remote due to its high transmissibility and the fact that it can live on hard surfaces for days. It strikes me that you have probably had the virus, and you are completely asymptomatic, you probably didn't even know you had it.
  2. Nite crystal ...... I will pm you later when I get home πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
  3. The medical / biological technology for virus vaccines is well understood, and IMHO pretty safe. If you are younger than I can understand the hesitancy, however, for us older folk the choice is easy ............ have a jab and not worry about the side effects, long term or otherwise, or catch the virus and maybe find yourself in hospital struggling for breath and suffering the other complications of blood clots etc ............... For anybody over 60 the choice is a no brainer ! However, I fully understand that we live in a democratic society, and it is the individuals choice of jab or no jab ............. I am easy about it, as the 'jabbed' will exceed the 'no jab' by a massive majority.
  4. Nothing French about it, it was made in the UK, unlike an Arvor πŸ™„
  5. They also make a pretty good job of Metallica ............πŸ‘
  6. A bunch of redneck finns play ACDC ...........πŸ˜‚
  7. Primarily jig weight capability, and then it comes down to physical rod weight and length ............ Lighter is better as you are holding and working the rod all the time.
  8. Tut, tut ............. the correct term is 'Acute Angle' πŸ™„
  9. I just had a look at the trade directory and Jigabite are the UK dealers. Here you go ........... https://www.jigabite.co.uk/productspds.aspx?sectionID=470&mv=0&sn=0
  10. A slight change, apparently due to an admin error, my appointment for surgery is now the 6th March, only a couple of weeks delay, but it gives the Vaccine chance to fully work. I was told that date in now fixed in concrete .............
  11. They are a USA company and their products are very good and respected in the industry. Their Slow Pitch rods are usually sub Β£250 unless you want the Gangster Titanium which is Β£800 ish. Amazon is always a good call for Jigging Master.
  12. The drag tension is not critical, but you have to get it right to make it easy and to stop the line spinning under tension, once that has been mastered, then it is very easy indeed. The drag tension needs to be tight enough for a tight knot, but loose enough to stop the line spinning. I would think a couple of lb is about right.
  13. OK, so I had a play tonight, Here is 28lb Spectra braid to 30lb Sakuma Nite Crystal, Just for Luke, here is 80lb Spectra to 200lb Sakuma Supacast. Not quite as neat as I would like, but it just needs a tiny bit of practise
  14. I have always used that method for FG knots ............ but not so easy on a rocking boat.
  15. Yes indeed, about Β£400 ish retail ..............
  16. A lot of boat builders sell used boats, usually only their brand. Ribcraft certainly do, but the boat has to meet their strict criteria before they will take part ex on a new model. Generally Ribcraft part ex boats are sold before being advertised as there is waiting list.
  17. What do you want to join ? For braid to mono topshot I used the use bimini twist or FG , but now I will use the PR which is an FG variation, but with the bobbin it is a 2 min job. Later I will tie 80lb braid to 200lb mono using the bobbin and pot a pic of the knot. My wind on leaders have a dacron loop end, so I tie an ozzy plait knot to make a top shot loop and then multiple loop them . like this
  18. Trouble is, the japs invent all the best jigging gear and not all of them speak the language of choice, which is the queens english ! I will find a vid from β€˜Hoto’ who is a jap skipper and speaks anglais.
  19. Turn them off πŸ™„ Just a couple of clicks πŸ˜‰ https://smallbusiness.chron.com/rid-subtitles-youtube-49431.html
  20. 🀣🀣🀣 I guess my post was worth 100 lines and a detention !!!!! 🀣
  21. They seem to be one size. I have tried 100lb braid and also 30lb braid, it tied both just fine. I will tie up a knot tonight in 30lb braid to 30lb leader and post up the result.
  22. This is a quicker way to use the bobbin, I have tried it tonight and the knot is exceptional in both neatness and strength πŸ‘
  23. Andy and Fisty are driving down to the marina for a fishing trip. They spot a hitchhiker and decide to pick him up. They continue driving with the hitchhiker seated in between them, and Fisty winds down his window, and says, "sorry, I just had curry for lunch and I have to fart". Fisty lets out a strange fart that sounds like a puff of air. Then Andy on the other side of the car suddenly has to fart too. He winds down his window, apologizes for having to fart, and let's out a hollow sounding puff of air. The hitchhiker thinks, well since everyone is farting, he might as well let one out too. He squeezes out a squishy sounding raspberry fart. Suddenly, Andy & Fisty look at each other and giggle, then in singsong unison vocals, they chant "VIR-GIN!!!!"
  24. The next one is about you and fisty .............πŸ˜›
