Uh oh…. We got a carp fisherman…. At least this one saw the light and bought a boat to do real fishing 😉

Used this when livebaitinf mackerel. The idea is that the bait is more natural than being lip hooked. Can be done with dead baits too as they’ll sit in a more natural manner

Good tope foshing off the shore in the right season. wrasse on the float from the harbour, mackerel to float fished Sandeel etc.

I’m keen but it depends when…. My boat will be out the water for Jan and Feb for at least 10 weeks (longer if I can blag it) so I’ll be working on it in those months on weekends but some will be free. but October is out as I’m tied up for 3 weekends…. (I can do mid week though) So potentially September, November is ok, December potentially. Jan and Feb tend to be crappy… March and April are good. May onwards I’ll prob be my own skipper any chance I can get! There is a potential + 1 but no worries if not. I can also do mid week if it gives more options for wrecking, basssing, plaice, turbot. Not keen for mid week for conger/spurs 😬😬😬 Also open to other locations 🙂

Great session 🙂 11 dogs for skate bait, a huss and happy spaniel for me yesterday. Nice to get the roads out. Now the real fishing starts 🙂 (pollack, wrasse, tope, mackerel, sharks, maybe a cod)

I think a spaniel would do you good, great with kids loads of fun 🙂 A Jack Russel if you can get them as a pup is another or try a westie. They are pretty relaxed.

I love RIBs… especially on a BBQ… Anyway, enough of my jokes (it’s been a while 😉 ) They are very seaworthy, fast and fun. As GPS says main downside is lack of deck space and no cuddy…. All boats are a compromise but I think you’d be looking at 6m region so not small to trail about. Great summer adventure boats! Tbere is an art to get in and out. I’ve got a deck door on my not so easy to swim up to and climb up a removable ladder. I did have someone have ro climb on my boat and then I drop them at their boat as they couldn’t get back on… he was a larger gentleman, but it was a good thing it was a sheltered bay in summer so plenety of people to help… Will Mrs S be happy to be out on an open boat? Or will she be on dry land all day? If so consider a mini rib for inshore stuff, small enough to drag about, go like a rocket on a small outboard and not too much room on the Manor House drive. You can keep a dedicated fishing machine as well then…. That is the issue with some rescues…. You can train a dog to be left longer. Pippa can be left for a working day, she just sleeps on the sofa all day. You’ll have a furry tornado when you get home but she’s fine 🙂 It’s worth looking on gumtree etc as somepeople want to rehome but rescues are full etc

Have a look at save our spaniels. I’ve got a spaniel… you say she won’t sit still well this furry lunp loves a cuddle on the sofa. She can go for 12 mile hike or 30 mins twice a day. You just got to train then. Cockers are less mad than springers.
