    Best to T Bar off in the water, it’s safer for you and the fish… If you’ve got a water level door or swim platform you can drag onto that but an angry tope can cause a surprising amount of damage…

    Cardiff all fishing is inshore. 1-2 miles out will get big cod, hounds, rays, bass, sole, conger. You generally need to move up and down the coast though to find fish. Seansea/Milford, you got lots of fish inshore, no need for a 20 mile run… Sharks, yes it’s offshore, 40 miles+ That’s only time I go offshore

    Milford bound for me… hopefully a quick 100 Nmile trip before getting train home 🙂 Only problem is I can’t really fish on way down as I’m on the train home so a bit of an issue to take a cool box on a train 🤣🤣

    I use similar for whiting, 2-3 small muppets small bit of squid. Used to work a treat as a kid when I was fishing the local piers. Where did you get the small ones from? 🤔🤔🤔

    That’s a good price! It’s £60 a head for a few undersided cod on some boats from Cardiff…. He’s a top skipper! If you are ever looking to fill a boat wrecking or plaids turbot foshing let me know, I’d be happy to tag along 🙂

    I’ve kind of lost interest tbh…. Post covid I felt rough, I’ve been dogged out and ray’d out so I’m hanging up my gear until spring. Main sun is to get boat ready for summer, get her back to Milford and focus on early tope. Couple of weeks of fixing reels, making rigs, making chum and getting ready for the toothy critters me thinks! Hopefully March will see the pollack on the reefs or starting to appear

    I had one, bought it mint for £50 when I was 14. Sold it 22 years later for £140 after many, many years of service and fish… crazy 😜
