Traditional system, boiler with hot water tank. Pump is in cupboard with tank. Sounds like I need a pro to check PCB then and replace by sounds of it 😞

Calling all heating engineers! My central heating pump keeps running and doesn’t switch off. Even after the heating and hot water time clocks have shut the boiler off for the night. Any suggestions on what may cause this? Is there an easy fix or do I get heating engineer in to sort it out? @jonnyswamp is this something you can help with? 😬

I ordered 20kg from online baits. Half for the ill fated boat trip the rest for myself. Hopefully last me the season. I’ve used them before abs it’s good value. The lunds stuff at baits r us are also good

They are a happy to share the reefs/wrecks. If there are fishing boats around they’ll call on radio and ask to have it over slack water. Or if they are on it they’ll let you have it when tide running hard…. Personally I’m nice to them as I want a nice lobster and lost gesr off them… so far I’ve had lost gear, they ain’t keen on sharing lobsters sadly 🤣🤣🤣

Fixed spool I use left hand to wind due to casting. Saves swapping hands and it was how I was taught as a kid…. Multis it was RH all the way and never changed since….

Yep, wind is NW so May end up on the coral foreshore but it’ll be first trip from Cardiff in over 18 months, need some practice for the cod comp. Got to get back first……

Sounds familiar… I’ve got AIS and when fishing out of Cardiff I’ve been called up to tow in idiots who run out of fuel… Best one was being called up by coastguard to check out a paddle boarded who someone thoight was on trouble. Turned out he was on a long range paddle as was in the water as needed a poo…. Was fun relaying that to the coastguard 🤣🤣🤣 On a serious note, I’ve looked at 2nd hand units, is you’ve got a local dealer to wipe the MMSI it can be cost effective, if you have to pay postage and get Standard Horizon or Icom to do it it’s not really worth it However a fixed unit is very useful, keep your handheld as a spare 🙂

As someone who worked on EVs for many years there a few points to consider. Point 1: Lifecycke analysis of wheel to well…. How much carbon is released from mining, manufacturing, running and disposal of EV power trains. It’s higher than conventional petrol/diesel vehicles Point 2: recycling of materials. These are highly toxic abs very difficult to recover Point 3: Infrastructure…. In short we don’t have any. At the rate we are building it just won’t happen in time for the government targets…. My old colleagues in automotive are pretty much given up researching batteries, ficus us now on fuel cells. That is the only way to achieve the power density needed…. Elon Musk May not agree but sadly you can’t break the rules of physics, despite how much you spout on Twitter!

I’m on the deck taking the pics (cheeky bugger) No-one had found a tank big enough to fire up engines so I “borrowed” a wheelie bin, they wanted it back abd had quite a crowd in the boat yard to see what we were up to….
