ouch not good - at least you got home ok -
was anyone wearing green on the day Luke? or eating bananas?
Not that I’m aware of… but you never know what colour pants the crew had on.
Shout out to West Wales Marine. I sent them the photos, agreed it was due to a stress fracture and that it cns happen with stainless steel props…. They’ve got a spare prop in stock and another on order asap. Can’t be helpful enough to get me back on the water…
Its hard enough trying to run a boat buisness, but when stuff goes wrong you appreciate a good supplier to get you back up and running and they have been great 🙂 Definitely recommend!

Are they on the reefs ?
They are everywhere…. But hopefully jigs/lures will keep them at bay…

Judging by the current forecast I look to be in danger of actually doing some fishing this weekend 😱
Pretty sure I can remember what to do...
1. Bait hook
2. Drop down
3. Wind in dogfish that I didn't know was on.
4. Repeat.
No bait… it’s lures to avoid the dogfish… they are around In plague proportions 😭

Hopefully by the 20th?? 😬
I’m back in Monday, soon be back on those fish. If inshore is fishing well, Offshore should be just as good 😁

Top job 🙂
You did well to find pollack on the entrance, never normaly many there, hopefully be a few about later on in the year.
it’s still early for down there, plenty of time for it to improve 🙂 Well done on the GG!

That’s crazy…. Beats the £32 a spark plug one marine engineer tried to charge me…. Given that there are 6 per engine and I have 2 of them it would have cost me £384.
The other marine engineer I now use charges me £4.50ish per plug…. Exactly the same part!
Good on you for finding the part code and getting it cheaper 🤩

Same as last year but one less to do….
- thresher
- Mako
- 6 Gill
- 1000lb BFT
- 200lb Blue (came close with a 180lb+ fish last year)
- 300lb porgie was completed last year so let’s aim for a 400lb+
Shouldn’t be too hard right? 🫣😂

Similar to the boats lying around Southampton, we had a we jolly down there recently and there was a fair number of big boats, but it makes you think about the amount of boats that never seem to leave their moorings and the cost of just the moorings never mind the boats themselves!
Yep…. Were a few down there like that…. Then again I think same in most marinas

Looks like mackeral or bass are around already…
Was out on a boat course on the weekend and loads of birds working off Old Harry rocks in the tide race…. Wished I had a fishing rod but the others on the boat probably wouldn’t have been impressed….
Some serious ££££ of boats down that way 😮😮😮😮
Nice to see a new part of the world but looking forward to gettitn out on my boat soon 🙂

I don't know how they've gotten such a good reputation, had nothing but issues with my Suzuki 140. Sometimes it wouldn't go over 3000rpm, oil alarms kept going off and needed a new gearbox under 400hrs. Ive owned 3 Suzuki outboards and all have had issues.
Yamaha all the way 😉

How did you get on with the relatively low temperature? I guess it gave you a bit more pot life?
How many more 1 litre packs did you need?Pot life was about 1 hour, used 4 pots before ran out of time. But that gave a decent coverage.
Still got 3 pots left if anyone fancies doing their boat…

Oh ok, I didn't realise you could just re paint over the old stuff. I'd have thought you'd need to go back to Grp and start again.
Nope, just save it down and apply another few coats 🙂
